And still are . Up there with what I ve seen from Blur this summer at Wembley . Sheds can be pretty epic live too and Rick can jump into the front row for some massive singalongs with the crowd .

It's noticeable how 90s British indie went from Shoe gaze with the vocals buried deep into the guitar work to Brit pop where vocals were totally upfront. This and practically anything by Echo Belly is a good example.

Is it me, or is there something of the Smiths about the vocal melodies, a few of their songs remind me of the Smiths, even if the music is fairly different.

There is, yeah. Not really many lyrics on this first album really, but stylistically a bit of Morrisey in there. Also the penchant for naming songs after daytime tv programs is a bit like Morrisey and kitchen sink dramas
