I’ve gotta say that I absolutely love watching all of your videos. And so do all my kids and nephew. You have great content, very down to earth and you keep it clean for the kids. Around our home town whitetail sheds has been a passion of mine my whole life. It’s been passed down to all my kids and nephew. They love being outdoors and sheds get them pumped. I’ve dreamed all my life of finding an elk shed, this past year I finally talked the family into vacation in Wyoming. I ok my boys and nephew out a couple days and they were able to find two mule deer sheds and my son found a busted elk shed that was broke off about 10” above the base. But to him and is it was as good as gold to have found while we were there. Some day we will hopefully get to go back out west. Keep up the great videos and great work. As for us we will still keep collecting these Ohio whitetail in the mean time 👍👍

Of course I watched it all the way to the end. Love watching these videos and enjoy just seeing what you all are up to. Don't get too down on yourself on not finding sheds. Sometimes that's just how it goes bro.

Eric, if elk are anything like deer, which I presume they would be, the amount of concave/convex in the burr is directly related to the animal's health and nutrition that year. One of the two indicates a healthy animal and the other indicates a stressed, malnourished, etc. animal, whether it be from predator pressure, hunting pressure, drought, lack of food, etc.

Another awesome video!!! Can't wait to see more

They definitely dish out because of age. The rate of the antler growth is about the same between large and small bulls. So with the longer grow cycle of the larger older bulls they are pushing up into the existing burr creating the dish.

I feel ya Eric! It's shed season here for the fallow deer and my average is at 17km per antler because I have so many trips that leave me empty handed.

Sometimes when your hauling through country trying to find sheds you forget to slow down and take it all in. The mountains creeks rivers animals birds. It’s good to stop and just take in for a moment.

at 2.45 of the video it looks like a elk shed in the shadows on the right side of the screen just about the same line as his chin, in front of a bush?

I agree about it being a shed looks like a good one too. Kept thinking he was trolling us when he panned the camera right by it.
