I feel like that old bull is my spirit animal. He didnt give a crap about fighting or getting cows. He just found a spot where he could survive, no one jacked with him, and he just kicked it until he passed on. Pretty crazy to think about. Kinda sad that he just died in his bed. Possibly suffering from something. But i hope he went peacefully.

That bull must of been 6-7 years old at largest antlers, 7-8 for the Single antler found and 8-9 years old when died. After about 7 to 8 years old whitetail and most likely elk too begin to decrease in health and antlers size. I've seen people that found a whitetail they watched from 6 years old and at 7-9 it went from over 200" down to like 150 or less from 9-10 years old. An awesome and possibly somewhat rare or unusual find. I wish I had public land large enough on east coast to shed hunt for whitetail antlers.

The mice, squirrels, porcupines, etc. get to the whitetail antlers pretty quickly in Wisconsin. You have to find them right away.

I am wondering why the coyotes didn’t bother that bull, it does not look like it was touched. If you video the teeth of an old bull you can estimate the age, just like you can do a horse.

You know when you pack in and need a good fire starter and you have steel wool and a 9 volt battery if you touch both ends to it i makes a spark then put it ib toilet paper or paper towel it makes a goos fire starter
