The performance in Mudugere Yashoda was energetic and fast, the slow paced dance in this piece were both deftly handled by Kum. Harinie. It's a true bliss to watch her perform. It helps us intensify our own Hari Bakthi. The saree seems unique and a refreshing change from the usual readymade costume. Infinitely grateful to Sridevi Nrithyalaya for this production.

Exquisite! Here is my comment on my fb page: When she dances I get the feeling she puts herself aside. She becomes the song. She becomes the dance. She becomes bhava. So completely does she subordinate herself to her subject. Harinie Jeevitha, of Sheela Unni’s Sridevi Nrithyalaya, is a consummate artist. Here she dances to a dearly-beloved song by the Telugu poet Tallapaka Annamacharya (15th century CE), whose work was rediscovered early in this century, inscribed on copper plates stowed in a vault at the Sri Venkateshwara Temple at Tirumala. This song Harinie dances to here, “Bhavayami Gopala balam,” is in Sanskrit. Annamacharya wrote in both Telugu and Sanskrit. Jeevitha’s musical accompaniment is first-rate as well, as befits her dance. Very very lovely! Enjoy!
