Folks, she is changing the phrasing and clipping the end syllables because her voice will not do what it once did. She is laboring hard to do this song. My body won't waterski or run like it once did, either. I get it. So she is compensating the best she can. Same with her pronunciations of "You" as "Yoe" and a host of other dead giveaways. The "eeee" sound is something that requires the vocal cords to really stretch, and she shies away from it, opting instead for "lone-lay, on-lay" and other sounds that are vocally easier. She clearly has damaged her voice throughout the years, and is doing the best she can to make it through the song with moments of brilliance still shining through here and there. In her day, she was one of the best female vocalists I ever heard, and I only wish I had a voice like hers (ala 30 years ago) to work with to bring my songs to life.

I dabble in vocal's,and thinking of Sheena,her lung's were very Petite in her youth,with her vibrato,she was CLASS.Sure living here is tough for anyone not to lose their accent,goes to show,WE'RE ALL THE SAME,only flavor changes depending on placement.It's not her accent,it's Womanhood.Those two Huge factors (@@),sure changed her delicate lung expansion.The talent she still has.Rude in Glascow,and shows,they must of been youngin's there because we who were there in the 1980's,would be happy and sentimental merely seeing her do the hits.37years past she jolted the planet.I'd love to toss the hecklers up on stage after 37 years and witness fitting justice.Glad she is still performing and has suit of armor.Stereo 101was huge part of my childhood,and she WAS on every station with something and I thank her for it.
