Wow! So different and changed. There used to be 3 cottages at the top on the left not houses. They've levelled the bungalows where that building site is now. Marford Farm is almost unrecogniseable except for the original farmhouse. The overgrown field gate, where myself and my sister rattled the chain to fetch the farmer Mr. Lamb's cows in for milking, herd them across the ford up the lane and into the farm yard, all gone. Thanks for this post. It's a visit back to the past. I used to walk up that lane to school every day.
