Jack wasn't an orphan, he wasn't raised in an artificial environment like the playcare and that doesn't make the fate of the other 2 boys less tragic but to me his side of the story is a bit more terrifying.

You even see Doey hit himself when Matthew is trying to convince the others that the protagonist fixed the generator and wasn't the enemy. Kevin was angry with what happened, Jack was sad over it, Matthew lost confidence from it.

Some people think he "turned evil". I don't think he's evil at all, I just think he snapped due to seeing all of his friends and the toys he's been protecting and helping so long die seemingly at the hands of the player and Poppy.

Yeah, it was like a dam that was bound to break at some point. He made it obvious in the tape that he decided to stay for the toys that remained in Safe Haven and he was probably holding control of his emotions for them. The moment that stopped existing, he blamed himself and the dam broke.

yeah, was only a matter of time before the scientist's worse nightmare of kevin's side of doey overpowering the other 2. Also dont think he is actually dead, I mean he gets frozen and sawed 3 times, and crushed by tons of rubble when he transformed, I feel like him being shown to take multiple hits that wouldve been fatal is a hint that he isnt dead from drill and is instead just passed out from exhaustion due to his anger and all the writhing and running. Wouldnt be surprised for him to wander aimlessly after recovering and showing back up in chapter 5 having gotten himself under control, and fueled by revenge against the prototype that he will see things poppy's way and play a major part in the final battle.

Doey story breaks my heart so much. It's no wonder to me that Harley went along with choosing someone as aggressive as Kevin as one of the children. After the accident, now that they had one child for the experiment they needed to get rid of that kid's parents. Getting Doey to do it himself would have been their best bet. I also agree with comments that it could have been both Jack and Matthew apologizing to us at the end. Neither of those two boys wanted to hurt us.

Fun fact: Doey didn't "turn" evil. He turned to despair. The toys he worked so hard to protect, the family he made in that hell, gone. And because it was caused by the generator, he turned to the one person that was responsible and he thought he could trust, us. The prototype used that vulnerability by being Ollie and instructing us of how to fix the generator. Doey was a character that had deep seeded pain, but wanted to be something better than the other bigger bodies, that weren't. He had conviction, until he lost what he worked so hard to protect.

Chapter 4 really digs in deep about the people who were turned into toys. Because in the previous chapters, we just see monsters who are trying to kill or devour us. And yet, when we reach to Safe Haven, you meet other toys who aren’t like that. They’re hungry. They’re sick. They’re scared. They’re literally alive and reminded me that these aren’t just ‘toys’. They’re so much more than that which is both sad and scary for me.

Chapter 4 may not be as scary as the previous chapters but instead is a chapter that makes you actually feel, the pain, the tragic loss, the trauma, and I’m happy how they expanded the lore deeper in this chapter, I really love the effort they put in the characters, the story, the tension. Doey's death actually hurt more than DogDay. I genuinely teared up, both his last words, and especially his VHS confession. It really showed how much of a big heart he had and did everything he could under such enormous stress and pressure. He really needed a hug

I feel the final confrontation when we had to crush Doey, when we heard the pained cries and genuine hurt from his volatile impulses, we heard the actual hurt from Kevin's heart, more than Jack and Matthew the moment he was crushed. He was surpressed the longest, I feel we got his raw emotions and saw a genuinely broken heart that tried to be better for everyone, especially Jack and Matthew trying to help him after all this time and the family he had grown to love. They were all hurt, they couldn't surpress their heartbreak any longer, and Kevin accelerated the rage of the others. The apology wasn't to us being forced into what we had to do, but it was towards everyone in his life, or who once was, that had grown to love him and had faith in him, even with his faults he tried his hardest to overcome. And when we heard the tape with Doey's resolve to stay for the rest of the children turned into toys, I like to believe that was the resolve from all 3 of the children that made Doey, not just Matthew or Jack, but Kevin as well. They all endured hell for so long and kept it together so they could be Doey, the hero that the toys needed when Poppy left them. He trusted Poppy and the Player, he did what he thought was right, and all he work for was destroyed. Three children were forced to become one new being, that's traumatic already, and Doey did everything he could in the most bleakest of situations, but he hit his limit and broke down. This wasn't Kevin's fault at all, he, Matthew and Jack were pushed too far by the Prototype and Poppy. It's a genuinely heartbreaking story.

To sum it up, Doey the Doughman was a culmination of 3 different children, with different personalities, going through the same traumatic situations. With such a volatile trio of young minds, with a personality disorder by default, all feeling like utter failures at protecting the one family they had left, Doey was a ticking time bomb waiting to blow. Honestly, of all the Bigger Bodies, Doey is perhaps the most tragic creation so far. He was a damaged set of minds trying to protect the one family he had left after killing his own, trying to be more than the monster Playtime made him into, only for life to destroy all of that in front of him and push him to the edge. Rest in peace, Doey. Rest in peace, Jack, Kevin, and Matthew. Let’s hope The Prototype meets his end in Chapter 5.

I think the final scene of the battle when doey says sorry x2 the first “I’m sorry” is Jack, crying, the second “I’m sorry” is Matthew apologising to jack(?) kinda saying “no I’m sorry” for not being strong enough to take over Kevin’s rage in the mixed brain kinda thing. If doeys been chill for so long, maybe Mathews been able to keep Kevin’s rage under control and this big burst is Kevin finally being able to take over as the other boys are so weak with sadness now, just a little head canon I’ve had about the whole thing

THEORY: In the VHS tape where Jack's parents were meeting him, when Doey killed the mom, that was showing traits of Kevin. Angry and violent. But then when he started crying, it was Jack. Reasons for it: 1- Because he's just a child. Even if it weren't his parents, any child would cry at the sight of someone being killed. 2- Likely because jack had remebered who they are, And remembered what they mean to him. And was crying because he had just murdered his own parents.

A thing that’s often overlooked is why Sawyer chose Kevin- it seems odd that such a meticulous planner would overlook such an obvious flaw as Kevin’s volatile personality. Personally, I think Sawyer intended to break Kevin the way he broke Yarnaby… just completely abuse him into submission so Matthew would completely take over control of Doey and only Kevin’s intelligence would remain. So Kevin being a problem child wouldn’t have been an issue, in his mind.

I haven't watched yet, but I feel like this is obvious. He had 3 different people in him, and one of those was Kevin. A violent and aggressive child. I think it was a highly emotional event that would bring out another personality. You can see him fighting the other personality before it completely takes over. I really expected him to betray us after realizing we were staff. Not something this flippin sad. He didn't want to attack us, but the other personality took control and made him.

A little detail I noticed about Doey’s “final form”: Obviously the three heads in the mouth are meant to be the three, but there’s also three pairs of arms that come out of the mouth. One pair reaches out of the mouth and are the ones that grab the player during the boss fight, while the other two grab onto his lips and never move. I think maybe the arms reaching out are controlled by Kevin, while the ones grabbing his lips are controlled by Mathew and Jack and they are attempting to force the mouth to close. Anyway, I’m probably looking too much into this, but how does Doey… work? Like, how is he alive? How does he eat? How can he see when there doesn’t seem to be anywhere that organic eyes could be? Where do the red glowing eyes and teeth come from when he transforms? I thought at least something about his inner-working would be explained in the chapter, but all we got is that he can in fact eat, he has glowing eyes and teeth that come out of nowhere, and he was made from three kids, one of whom died from falling into a dough-mixing vat. Maybe they just took the dough that Jack remains were mixed into, killed the other two kids before mixing them in the same way, dunked it all into the poppy gel, and then shocked it to life? But that doesn’t really explain the glowing eyes, how he could have a digestive tract, how he has eyesight (can he see from every part of his part of his body?), and probably other stuff. Oh yeah right, this is the huggy wuggy game, what am I doing with my life Btw is anyone able to tell what’s in the picture attached to the letter at 6:54? Maybe it could explain something idk

I truly feel like Doey And Harley Sawyer are opposite to each other, as deep down Doey’s personalities really did care about the orphans, and everything he did in the story of chapter 4 was in order to keep them safe. While Harley Sawyer never cared about anyone, just treating his experiments as nothing more than HIS creations, or straight up animals, and everything he did was for progress for progresses sake. The fact Doey was created both as an Accident and an Opportunity for Playtime Co. to continue their Work with a Mixture of Cruelty and Tragedy, Doey is literally a Chimera Construct with an Scrambled Consciousness that is no wonder he was a complete failure and yet he’s not a Villain, just a Broken Character and Soul that has so much to lose as he didn’t want to repeat the same mistakes he made to Jack’s Parents and yet he failed and him snapping was the Final Straw that led him to his Downfall, Doey is probably one of if not the most tragic character in the Series like it’s true Full Form has similarities to the Biolizard which feels pain in their Rage with having similarities to Shadow the Hedgehog’s Unhealted Suffering, Regret, and Tragic Sorrow.

Even tho is disgusting that they already took the body of a deceased child and used him for this experiment, they had no reason to remove the parents, they didnt have a reason to contact them at all. Great Theory, I was thinking the exact same thing! Although, I find that the second apology before he dies is actually Matthew. The immediate shift from an apology that a child would say when they've done something wrong to a somber, heartfelt apology makes it seem like they are Jack and Matthew, respectively. Imo doey was one of the best if not the best character the game had to offer us so far, there is so much to his personality and story and he has an insane progression throughout the chapter, starting from goofy and silly to extremely serious and intimidating when time needs him to be, slowly forming up and revealed to be a traumatized being who lost all he cared for, all that combined with the shapeshifting ability which allows for a large variety of mechanics and also visual change depending on his mental state. When he died i felt really depressed. He did not want to hurt us deep down unlike the other monsters, but he was too far mentally gone and we had no choice.

Can I just say from what we saw at the beginning of Poppy playtime chapter 4 it’s hard to believe that not only do we see what happened to a child and how they became the toy but also that it’s not just adopted children’s in playtime Co getting turned into toys but also children getting invited to the factory, but then suddenly going through a tragic accident that will get one of the top playtime co employees involve cause man it was like the Lure them in even if they’re not one of the adopted children

i hoped to see more theorie on what happened to jack by falling in the goop? cuz as i remember toys from the old times were quite dangerous and had really health hazard stuff in them and were causing cancer so i think he fell there and the goop melted his body and the mind probably stayed there or he was saved fast enough

I think Playtime Co. invited Jacks parents back to see their son again to try to cover up that incident. For example, the dad begged the workers to open the door but they ignored him, seeming like they wanted to sweep it all under the rug since the parent might sue Playtime Co. and with their previous scandals, if they didn’t do anything about it, they would be screwed.

I wonder if Doey as he was, was meant to be created at some point, or if the accident Jack had, might has inspired the creation. Maybe Jack was still alive/merged to a degree with the dough, and further experimenting gave way to the idea of adding more children to stabilize this new bigger body.

Theory: I think at the beginning of Chapter 5, Huggy will break the door and we will escape from the back door and there will be a chase. We can go back to Chapter 1 area to find Poppy because the prototype may have taken Poppy and locked her in that safe again. We can see Prototype tearing Kissy apart. After saving Poppy on Chapter 1 floor, Poppy may go crazy and say you have to protect me or you will die too (out of fear) and we will have a disagreement. We can enter places we didn't enter on Ch1 floor because I don't think we took the red hand back for nothing. We can fight with Prototype there and after a few events, for some reason Prototype will get angry and hit the ground and the ground will collapse and I think we can fall down to Chapter 4 floor again - we can visit the places we dropped Huggy, we were going to go through those places in the old version of Chapter 2 but it was abandoned. We learn who we are and our purpose in Chapter 5, and Chapter 6 will be the finale. For some reason it seems like it will end badly, if it ends well we will win, we will reveal the secrets but there will be a price. We can find the orphans living in chapter 5, we will examine the Lavaratuvar. Although it seems unlikely, Huggy can be our ally. If not, something very important will happen and he will die. That's all my theories for now, let's see how many of them turn out to be true!

Doughy was so well done there hands and the 4 colors foreshadowing the three being trapped he is mentally unstable but he tried to keep it together so the three can keep safe haven running and than Ollie became a terrorist and blew up the stronghold so he lost it and tried to run a fade with the employee getting cryo therapy

Bump that up to a 7 - 7.5 buddy, the the fps drop is subjective, the atmosphere is amazing, the routes aren’t confusing you are just dumb, the chase music did drop down but by a little it’s still good.

The first one will have you go straight to the dead end, the second one will put you in a loop and make you do a bunch of things over and even kill the doctor you just killed. And finally, the third path is the right one. The game won't tell you which one to take and you'll get confused.

A lot of people think doey turned evil or that the kid kevin, but the fact he kept saying "the gentle voices hurt" it must be something related to his past as a kid, we also saw that before he turned into the last from by breaking the roof, Matthew possibly was trying to keep himself or kevin calm by denying the fact it's our fault, which is actually POPPY'S fault not us 🗿 our protagonist is traumatized enough to think alone right now, after all she trapped him down and played the innocent one (istg if we trust her again I'm gonna go insane she betrayed us twice AND SHE BETRAYED KISSY.) Meanwhile jack seemed just scared and wants his parents... yeah doey and kissy are my favorites without a doubt
