Sheer Khurma Recipe Eid Special Recipe by Delicious Pakistani Cuisine
Recipe In English:
Ingredients:
Vermicelli (sevaiyyan) ½ cup
Milk (Doodh)1 ½ liters
Almond (Badam) 2 tbsp soaked overnight
Pistachio (Pista) 2 tbsp soaked overnight
Dry Dates (Chuharay) 5 soaked overnight
Condensed Milk ½ cup
Oil (Tail) 1 tbsp
Elaichi Powder (Cardamom Powder) ¼ tsp
Oil (Tail) 2 tbsp
Procedure:
- Make a cut in dry dates and remove its seeds.
- Cut the dry dates into thick julienne.
- Peel the soaked pistachios.
- Cut them in thin julienne.
- Peel the almonds and cut them into thin julienne.
- In a frying pan add oil and fry the vermicelli.
- Fry until the vermicelli turns golden brown and gets fragrant then set aside.
- In a wok add milk and bring it to boil.
- Add dry dates to it then cover them for 20 minutes or until the dry dates get tender.
- Add the vermicelli and mix it well.
- Bring it to boil then add half the quantity of pistachio and almond, leave the rest for Tarka.
- Add the condensed milk and mix it well.
- Add cardamom powder and mix it well.
- Sheer Khurma is ready.
- To prepare Tarka.
- In a frying pan add oil.
- Add the remaining almond and pistachio and fry them till golden brown.
- Pour this tarka over Sheer Khurma.
Sheer Khurma is ready to serve.
