It is reported that Prophet Sheeth AS was born a few years after the death of Habil (Abel). During that period Prophet Adam AS had experienced great sorrow. His son, Qabil (Cain) had succumbed to Satan’s temptation. Qabil left following this, moving far away with his family to live elsewhere. It is said that Sheeth resembled his father greatly. After Adam’s AS death, Sheeth succeeded him, ruling in accordance with God’s law. He taught the worship of God alone, and warned of Satan’s promise to lead mankind astray, as had occurred with Adam AS, and Qabil.

Salam. What is the difference between a Messenger and Prophet?

@@fulanibnfulan8764 Isa (as) was a prophet and a messenger. A messenger also receives revelations, just like the prophet Muhammad saws did. A messenger, unlike a prophet, is obligated to spread the revelations he gets from god, whereas prophets are not obligated to convey it. Also it’s said, no new law is revealed to prophets, only messengers.

@@fulanibnfulan8764 no worries the definition confuses me too, because both a Messenger and a Prophet are commanded to spread the message, not just Messenger😅 think best way to look at it is Just that a Messenger has a higher responsibility. The details, Allah swt knows best.
