Super Mario World is one of the first video games I ever played! My cousins had it on the SNES when I went to visit them in Sydney and at the age of 5, I had absolutely no idea what I was doing, but it was fun! I later played the GBA port and had a great time with it. I put special care into this arrangement, including (my interpretation of) the music when you ride Yoshi, and a bit of a jazz improvisation because why not? Hope you enjoy! :) -Andrew If you like it, grab our version here: www.musicnotes.com/l/525MP

I wonder. If I estimate it took me 30 hours to 100% SMW on my first playthrough, would it take me less than 30 hours to learn this piece? 30 hours is a _lot_ of piano practice. Though the amount you can do consecutively is limited because your hands get physically tired.

I discovered that I can take something non-pitched, like bongos, and create a melody that *might* work with the rhythm. It can match the chords while having an overall shape through the phrase, and match the intention of the rest of the music. It's not an obvious solution at first, but it's the best I can come up with! -Andrew
@cemstrumental2 жыл бұрын
@@SheetMusicBoss @SheetMusicBoss bongos technically are tuned percussive instruments. The pattern Would be: C#5 F5 C#5 G#4 A#4 𝄿 G#4 𝄿 G#4 A#4 C#5 𝄿 G#4 A#4 C#5 𝄿 C#5 F5 C#5 G#4 A#4 𝄿 G#4 𝄿 G#4 A#4 C#5 𝄿 G#4 𝄾 𝄿. Since this doesn't fit in the scale, it would be beneficial to alter some notes, but yeah. The rhythm was the only nessecary aspect to make it easy to point out. Great job on this!

if you liked this rendition of the overworld, i highly recommend Tom Brier's sight read piano covers of various video game music, including but not limited to Koji Kondo's work. unfortunately he was involved in a car accident a few years ago and lost some function in his body, he hasn't been able to play but he was an amazing ragtime pianist, the music he did play on YT is still there to enjoy. the channel's name is Keeper1st. channel has a whole slew of amazing artists.

I started watching this on my news feed, I opened KZbin with this video just so I can comment this. Piano is the greatest instrument to me in MY OPINION cuz of the use of both hands to individual fingers in sync with each other. Yes most other instruments work in a similar way but a strum and finger placement for a chord is a bit easier then playing a low and high side to a song to create a rhythm. To me piano can express every instrument in a song with just one instrument and I love it so much and the fact that people can play this with is just the most amazing thing ever.
