I was at University in Sheffield in the early to mid 1970s. I have very fond memories of the city and the people of South Yorkshire. Apart from gaining my degree I learned how to 'mash' tea, fell in love with Sheffield United and was lucky enough to attend two formal dinners at the wonderful Cutlers Hall as well as discovering the Peak District. Happy days!

Many fond memories of growing up in Sheffield. Shame a lot of the city centre that you showed has succumbed to a lack of investment.

Really rather good. The effects were very good. Pity we can't go back to the sixties and have a groundhog decade, with the Hole in the Road etc. Sheffield looked so good then, ah well progress is good - so they say.

Interesting video. One mistake though, The Town Hall Peace gardens transition. The fountains seen in the revamped Peace Gardens were not present when the old egg box extension to town hall was there.
