We were so bad I honestly can’t describe it in words! That has honestly been our worst away performance for a number of years. I am embarrassed and disgusted- can’t even begin to imagine how the 2247 fans who went to the game are feeling. Whole team apart from Grealish, McGinn and maybe El- Ghazi, should hang their heads in shame and give their wages in for the week. An appalling showing today. I really wanted Bruce to succeed but I am really struggling to see it and struggling to defend him. With the International Break coming, I honestly think he is in trouble with the away fans really turning on him. The players no longer seem to have any faith in him- conceding within seconds at the start of the second half. With the way he treated squad players like Steer, Green, Elphick and Adomah; I just think the players as a collective have stopped playing for him. Playing players out of position constantly and publicly lambasting them has caused the players to down tools. I think they have been disgusting to do that to Bruce but despite doing so much for the club in the previous 20 months, I really think his position is becoming more and more untenable.

Well spoken and the words are pretty much what I've been thinking. Maybe the international break for once has come at the right time and the introduction of the new boys will give us what we need but this playing half a team out of position has just got the stop. There is no need for it at all.

Who could you see coming in potentially if Bruce goes? I wouldn't be half surprised if we tried for Moyes. Dean Smith would require a top to bottom change of our set up. If they were willing to implement that then possibly but gonna be a tough ask for him otherwise

That's the million dollar question Boom G Bap indeed. The reason I've backed Bruce the last few seasons is his pedigree with promotion which is what we've all been doing but somethings not right and we can all see it my friend. I've got my season ticket for VP and we've been very good at home for sure but away were not turning up. My point is that we're dropping points a lot already and thinking about last season it was those few points that cost us automatic promotion. Funny you should say Moyes as he was what I said a few years back before Bruce came in. Like I said with Bolasie and Tammy after the break then it could all click together but playing players in the wrong positions all over the park has just got to stop because we look disjointed and unsure of what we should be doing.

I was the Villa mascot for this game 5 years ago. Walking out with James Chester was a great experience. Love Sheffield United. Very welcoming club, very organised as well I loved every second of it. (Apart from the scoreline of course)

Two and maybe even three of the goals were down to Villa's goalkeeper. They should have signed Sam Johnstone but on July 3rd when he went to Albion, Villa were staring down the barrel of administration. Bruce must take the blame for signing an array of attacking talent when it was evident the defence is substandard. The Blades were good but were flattered by Villa's non-existent defence. The Villa fans can only hope their new signings can keep the ball at the other end of pitch against Blackburn, or risk another slaughter.

Give Moreira a shot in goal, try Elmo back in defense even though he's played well in midfield, Jedinak in his natural position or even bench him with the amount of mistakes he makes, Whelan does well keep him on, immediately bench Kodjia for Tammy when able to.

It was very clear... Bringing a lot of forwards is not the solution. Bruce has to change a lot of things in two weeks, and especially correct all the mess that he has done in the line-up and with the signings. If he can't he needs to go out.

The team looked completely clueless and toothless. Bruce is playing at least 5 of the 11 players out of their natural positions and has the cheek to blame the players. Players may have lacked effort and passion but who trains them all week? who gives the team talk? who issues instructions on roles and duties? Why do we still have no Left back at the club and no center back replacement for John Terry?

We played to defensive last season but we ground out results and I gave him the benefit of the doubt after the summer. Now we got no defence to play defensive. Playing players out of position won't get the best out of them. I think he's lost the dressing room and a lot of fans. Where do we go from here. UTV, with or without Bruce. It's been a long time coming. The other games have not been convincing either, we look lost and he has failed to address a lot of our problems such as our defence, our one dimensional attack (crosses, crosses, crosses...) and our lack of movement and shape. I would expect to see incremental improvements but we look as inconsistent as last year which will seriously danpen our chances of promotion. With the amount of funds at his disposal this he has been long underachieving. Should go imo.

Mochilla... If only it were that simple. Bruce's managership has been appalling and he is getting worse. He failed last season with the best squad in the league and he'll fail again this season. Nothing is ever HIS fault. It's the players or the officials or something else that went against us every time according to him. This defeat was the cherry on the icing on the cake for most people. There are 5 year olds appearing on KZbin telling Bruce that The Jedi is not a Centre Back but Bruce is the only man in the whole world that can't see it! Not only that but he wants to borrow everybody else's youth and play them after totally discarding our own. Open your eyes Mate. No doubt Steve Bruce is a good and experienced manager, but is he good enough? I question his ability to motivate all his players and his team selection.

Goalkeeper didn't move for the first goal, he seems to have problems dealing with crosses. His poor throw out led directly to the fourth goal, and he was badly positioned for the other two. The Sheffield free kick which led to the third goal was awarded by the linesman, and the offence was pale by comparison with the chopping down of Grealish three times in a minute shortly before, which was ignored by the referee. Ah well.....

Quite clearly Villa were the victims of their own downfall and Sheffield United can take no credit at all for stuffing such a pathetic over-blown bunch of no-hopers being paid mega-bucks for just going out there and laying down for the 2nd rate opposition to walk all over them.
