Bismillah, Alhamdulillah, It is actually Saydina Abdulqadir al-Jilani (ra) in his book "Al-Ghunya litalibi tariq al-haqq" who used the weak hadith (Allah sits on the throne and seats Muhammad beside him). .Even Sh. Abdulah Al-Harari says that the book contains kufr. But he does not make takfir on Saydina Abdulqadir al-Jilani (ra). You may wish to read Al-Hafidh Ibn Kathir's Al Bidaya wa-al Nihaya to learn that Shaikh Al-Islam was victorious in all his debates with his enemies .. Imam Ahmad was also imprisoned at the behest of the ancestors of the heretic Ahbash' (The heretic Mu'tazilaa) -- and was tortured to force him change his aqidah that the Quran isthe speech (Kalaam) of Allah. Before you say something that is sinful, here is what Ameerul Mu'mineen fee Al-Hadith, Ibn Hajer Al Asqelani said: "No one says about ibn Taymiyyah that he is a kafir except two types of people: either one who is himself a kafir, or one who is ignorant of him. and all the different groups of the people of his time praised his knowledge, Deen and zuhd"

Ibn Jarir At-Tabari (d. 310 H.) said in his commentary (tafsir) regarding the first verse [20:5] : “Ar-Rahman above His Throne Ascended and Rose (Irtafa`a wa `alaa). And said regarding the meaning of the second verse in the second verse said "Meaning: Rose (`alaa) above it." Unfortunately Ahbash cult had you drink their waswas that you are saying "Auzubillah" when you hear the truth.

Unlike Ahbash, Imam Shafi` said: "My ruling regarding the people of kalaam is that they should be beaten with palm leaves and shoes and be paraded amongst the kinsfolk and the tribes with it being announced, 'This is the reward of the one who abandons the Book (Qur'aan) and the Sunnah and turns to theological rhetoric (kalaam)."
