So no body worship Ali,,, but yest they do loves him so much (but majority of them didn’t know why -at the time of The Assad’s father) , Asad Father himself lived in Damascus when he became in the army , then went to serve in Egypt when they became one county. So he learned 2 things (Sunni islam & to be in love Arab unity) from that and with his childhood love to Imam Ali . All makes him believe in the justice to fight Israel as an occupational Zionist regime. So he was Shiaa in his love, sunni believe in his way of worshiping God and Nationalistic in the way of rolling . But Muslims brothrhood in syria at the time of Assad the father, they decided that he is Kaffir just because he is from the race of Allawi people who are not from the very Posh families that time. -so they try to assassinate him many time which lead to a big hate between him and the Islam brotherhood jamaat.there for lots of fights happened and lots of killing which ended by a big jounced against the Muslims brotherhood jamaat. This Jounced builded a big hatred between the leader and the people (even he was fighting isralil at the time. That was all about the father only
