Valentine's Day performance - a birthday present from my wife and daughter; after being mesmerised by this song I can't wait. If someone had told me in 1963 when I bought Freewheelin', my first of many Dylan albums that 54 years later I'd be watching a play called after one of the lesser-known songs on that album in London, I'd have thought them mad. I would not have had this among Bob's greatest songs until I heard Sheila's interpretation. The way she convincingly shifts the narrative point of view back and forth from the first and second person perspective is so moving, and that Madam Butterfly verse... Boy, does that cut right through 2:37
