Apparently having chickens isn't a thing in California? It's a HUGE thing in the Midwest, and you don't have to be a farmer. My grandma and multiple cousins have chickens and chicken t shirts. It's kind of like the "dog mom" fad. The "whisperer" just means that you are super good with that animal. Have you never heard of the shows "Dog Whisperer with Cesar Milan" or Ghost Whisperer"?

It means exactly what it says. A chicken whisperer is someone who loves and cares for chickens. Once you own chickens, you are opened up to an amazing society of intelligent and loving beings. Chooks are interactive, playful, make groups and families, and are such good parents.

I know they’re owned by a another parent company (hearth? Hearst? Something like that) that bought the channel/company after Defy Media suddenly shut down. My guess is that they might be getting pressure from above to do Shein because it’s cheap (lower budget) and garners more clicks from outside of just their core audience/subscribers, especially on other platforms like Snapchat

And yes, I understand that it is a privilege to be able to shop anywhere and take ethics into consideration, but there are other cheap, more ethical, clothing options that this channel could be highlighting…. I love this channel and have been a subscriber for years, but please take this into consideration for how you use your platform. ❤️

@@napturalkassie I won't lie and say that you'll find something the exact same as shein since nonethical standards allow their prices to be extremely cheap for trendy items, but thrifting and online thrifting websites provide cheap prices, even though it is less convenient than fast fashion. I might be wrong and need to do more research, but I also believe Target has been getting better at finding ethical sources??

The "baby soft" tee is a reference to Love's Baby Soft. It was a very light, body spray in the 70s. At the time, we all loved it. Looking back now, the marketing of the product is pretty creepy.

The way the issues people have could have been solved would be just looking at the images on their website rather than purchasing them and putting them on. Even if they were ethically sound, it's not really necessary to buy clothes for this type of video. If you really wanted to buy any of them, then pick a few to test the quality. "We know Shein has issues" "Get this tee" 🤔

i’d like to know too. in a few videos, the girls have mentioned wanting to keep something or comment about taking something home so i guess they let everyone in the office keep what they want but some things are unusable (like when jackie’s heel broke in the clip of her doing a split). i’m curious as to what they do with the usable stuff and what they do with the unusable stuff. i’m subscribed to some other ppl that do these large hauls and one of them pretty much donates everything she doesn’t want to keep (mia maples) and the other will return what she doesn’t want or sells it on poshmark/depop if she can’t return it (hopescope)

I used to love Clevver but recently I've been so disappointed with the number of fast-fashion videos you guys make. Fast fashion is such a massive contributor to climate change and global warming AND on top of that often have horribly unethical working conditions for those they "employ." it really feels like a little disclaimer is super performative if you're then going to perpetuate the purchase and promotion of these brands. Love Clevver, Not gonna watch or like this one though because of the environment impact of this fast fashion brand (please know that this comment is not directed at anyone who does not possess the means or privilege to shop elsewhere! I know that fast fashion companies have their purpose in accessibility! I just am talking about for people/large corporations who have the resources to promote more sustainable businesses

People who do not have the means can always thrift imo I have the means to buy new clothing in general but I haven't bought anything new for at least 3 years now. Only second hand items, a.k.a thrifting. Even if there aren't any where you live, you can find mutiple online thift stores with very cheap prices for good brands. You can even go as far as starting your own or exchanging clothing you no longer use with people you know, which I've also done. I honestly don't see any excuse to support fast fashion brands
