I really like Shelby and I felt like she is one of the most interesting ones on the show. I liked her attitude at the start because of how optimistic and helpful she tried to be and I really felt bad for her because out of all the girls, she is the one that has to pretend to be who she is not to be accepted whereas all the other girls have someone in their life who love them for who they truly are. You could sense such a big guilt after what happened with Becca.

Really love the cast. They cast this show so well, seeing the girls nail their performances. It's their portrayal that grounds the entire series. Love Shelby's story arc and I love all of them, but I just really need someone to agree with me or explain Shoni? There isn't enough build up. Their coming together didn't feel as natural. The transition from friends to enemies didn't feel earned. Although I appreciate Toni saying that she'll let Shelby figure it out on her own. I felt like there needed to be more of a build-up. It felt a little forced is all.

I do agree that there should have been a bigger build up especially consider it was an enemies to friends trope. But if you do go back and watch the earlier episodes I feel like they do build up to it decently well. Considering both of these feelings in mind, it makes me think that something bad happened between episode 10 (day 23 I believe) and the present timeline (where they’re being interviewed) based on how both Shelby and Toni talk about each other and love in general. Maybe they fought or something along the lines of that and we’ll get to see their breakup and and more satisfying build up to their new relationship.

@@draccnunknwn3213 thanks for indulging me. Might rewatch it. I guess it feels a little off for me because KZbin clips spoiled the entire Toni-Shelby thing for me, plus I can't help thinking that they do look a little uncomfortable when kissing. You're probably right, there's still a lot of things in the timeline they've yet to show us.

@@cancel21 You really should rewatch it and not just for the Shoni aspect. I’m on my first rewatch and I’m catching *a lot* of little details that I missed the first time around because we didn’t know the whole story. And yeah, I really have to be careful watching KZbin clips of a show before watching/finishing the show. Whenever it gets too spoilery, I turn it off and do something else or go watch the show. This time around I watched some clips of The Wilds and saw that there was a wlw relationship so I knew I had to watch it eventually. Put watching it on the back burner for a bit as I was busy and by the time I watched the show I forgot what the ship name was or even what they looked like so it was still a bit surprising for me. I never really got the uncomfortable feeling when they were kissing, but hey, if you feel it, you feel it. Can’t wait to see what they do with season 2 (and hopefully beyond) as there is still a lot of the storyline they have to fill in.

@@draccnunknwn3213 Yeah, I'll probably rewatch it a few weeks before season 2 comes out or probably a few months from now (for it to feel fresh, so I could forget a couple of details). I actually started watching it because of the convincing trailer I saw on YT. However, unlike you, I had a lot of free time after the trailer and so I binged it (and I could still recall the ship name). The TV show's really great. So glad I could discuss it here, since I don't know a lot of people who've watched the show.
