I know a lot of people want Sheldon and Penny to get together but I don't think they should. I think is the most important character on the show. Take her away and the 4 guys spend their lives just playing video games and whatever. Every growth they've made was because of Penny. Howard never would have gotten Bernadette acting like he did when he first met Penny. She went off on him the one time about being creepy and it registered and he grew up some and ended up with Bernadette. Continued...

Leonard had to grow up a lot as well while dating Penny. Without that he would never could have had a meaningul relationship with Pria, even if it didn't work out. Penny and Sheldon have a special relationship.She get him to open up his emotional side. Penny isn't the girl for him because they don't have enough in common, but without Penny, Sheldon couldn't be in with Amy. I think she will always have a special place in Sheldon's heart but he is meant to be with Amy. Continued...

I think the next storyline will be about Penny helping Raj get over his fear of talking to women buyI don't think he'll end up with Penny. I will be sad when this show ends, but I think a fitting ending would be the four guys with their girlfriends/ wives in the apartment laughing and all hanging out together. Penny opens the door (still unnoticed by the group) and sees them all happy, She pauses then closes the door, smiles, whispers "goodbye", and walks down the stairs.
