These look really good but sadly the scale is wrong which seems to be a common thing for some alternative brands. Its funny that Cada got the Shell license after Lego did in the olden days. 4:52 He is actually from the Brick Bank

Thanks for the nice reviews. I think I get it? You can have a super service station in your brick city and the others spread out. Although the shop should be next to the gas pumps or the car wash for some realism. And the car lifting feature in the car wash? Perhaps at some point it was supposed to be a 2-in-1 set? I think I like the tiny cars best, but they really don't fit with the sets or figures. And I think I've seen the door construction or a similar one on a Lego set too. I guess it's just to have the look of a handle on the door.

Oh my god a shell gas station I got a old city Lego gas station set and I started yousing the set to tourn it into a shell gas station. For my city but then had to move house and as I not got a nuff space .for it in my city. I never got back to building it. This shell gas station look s. Great

It is true that these sets need some refinements. But as toy for children interactive play I think these are great.

Exactly! I find many modulars and other sets are quite up to scale as well. These are all over the place but still cool imo.

Is the CaDa figure head/neck joint a 2 part thing? A ball/stick that fits in the torso, and the head fits onto the stick? (The same way Lego head fits on the stick molded into their torsos.) If so, is the ball/stick compatible with the Lego head? It looked like the CaDa stick might be narrower and thus incompatible, but they could release an adaptor and that would be really cool... I second your concerns about the carwash with moving floors: that's just weird. But the two-part side brushes are actually realistic. :) That big set comes with some HUGE tiles and panels. What is that tile on the roof, 8x16?! The stores and pumps look nice for the space available. I'm also impressed with the sturdy Technic approach they used! It's unfortunate the cars look and function so terrible. It looks like they had the intern design them. You were very diplomatic in pointing out the main things wrong with them. ;)

The figures look nice, but they're not suitable for the western market cause after the lawsuits now we know that the overall blocky appearance is what makes the BigL figure special and distinguishable. CaDA, you should've taken the new Kiddicraft figure, there licensable for a small fee. But I really love the big set!

I think they'll be fine. The head/neck alone make it different enough to not get in trouble (unfortunately that also makes it incompatible with Lego heads).

@@mangabuddy You refer to ZURU lawsuit? I think their lawyers sucked. The shape of the feet, back of the legs, and size and shape of the hands are constrained for the functional purpose of compatibility, so should not be valid for trademark infringement. I don't even understand the copyright argument: again probably bad lawyers. Also it seems to be a US-only thing. Those ZURU figures are on sale in Target Australia right now! Only somebody completely ignorant of Lego could look at both figures and say they were the same toy.

@@LtChamberz We have a lot of experience with 3D brand jurisdiction in Germany. Lego manages to stretch and bend the laws to the extremes so you have to play it very safe if you don't want to get attacked by them. Of course, in a just world, these figures would be ok. But in reality, Lego makes sure to have a team of very well paid lawyers that are close personal friends with the judges and they mostly get what they want, even writing their own laws.

Just bad sets. The proportions are so wrong. Tiny cars, no space between the pillars. The fuel filler neck was too low once, way too high on the big set. The prints look cheap and crooked. Terrible But thank you Scottie for showing us.

I agree on most of your points too but I personally like the prints and the big set, but bummer about the proportions…esp since Cada does cars in general.

The proportions are hilariously bad, the big one looks like it's 40 foot tall and the designers have never visited a gas station in their lives.

It's odd that they went to the trouble of getting a licence and making all those prints but don't put any effort into making the proportions at least make some kind of sense. The big set has the makings of something great. At first I thought wow that looks like something I need but then you look more closely and realise it doesn't quite work. I'm disappointed but at the same time relieved on behalf of my wallet, which has already taken some major hits this year in the brick department 😂
