Role of shell scripting im devops- 1.Infra maintainance 2.code management using git repository 3. configuration management (automation of cronjobs, switching to dir where scripts are present) Store shell script in git repository. Monitor node health of 1000 of machine. Out of 1000 of VMs, you will find out memory is completely used on which vm. Use cronjobs too, by login into each of machine and send email notifications which machine has issue with memmory and cpu usage.

Hey Abhishek, you missed this point... Q) If I use ./ command to execute a shell script, I cannot access the file. But if I use sh, I can execute my file. How? When you use the ./ command to execute a shell script, the shell will look for the script in the current directory. If the script is not in the current directory, the shell will not be able to find it and will return an error. When you use the sh command to execute a shell script, the shell will look for the script in the directories listed in the PATH environment variable. If the script is in one of the directories listed in the PATH environment variable, the shell will be able to find it and execute it. If you are unable to execute a shell script using the ./ command, it is likely because the script is not in the current directory. You can either move the script to the current directory or you can use the sh command to execute the script. Here are some additional things to keep in mind when executing shell scripts: The shell script must have executable permissions. You can use the chmod command to grant executable permissions to a file. The shell script must be a valid shell script. The first line of the shell script must start with a # character. This character tells the shell that the line is a comment and should not be executed. The shell script must be in a directory that is listed in the PATH environment variable.
