you can just see the same, young spirit in her. her eyes still sparkled. love everything she says - fell asleep to her voice as a baby from Fairy Tale Theater. i remember when my dad brought home a VHS from the thrift store. he didn't speak English, but he was a navy sailor. guess what the movie was? POPEYE'S! i admire this woman. God bless her.

So glad she got to be in a film before her untimely demise. And it seemed like the relationship between the director and crew were simpatico. She certainly deserved a positive experience at this point in her life, so thanks to the cast and crew of The Forest Hills for providing that. Also great that it appeared her mind was in a better place than it was when Dr. Phil found her. Still, sad she wasn't taking better care of herself for diabetes to not take her, since 75 isn't as old as it used to be (thru lifestyle choices one can live a lot better and longer with diabetes). Ms. Duvall was never given enough credit for what a smart, talented cookie she was as the creator and executive producer of Faerie Tale Theater and the other work she did as a producer. You could hear her inner producer brain working when she's talking about enjoying the new tech being used that she wasn't familiar with. Always loved to see her in whatever she was in, and want to catch up on as much as I can that I've missed. Feel fortunate she was on the planet for as long as she was, and left us all the work she did to enjoy. ❤☮🌎

@@scrambledegg7908many sensitive and creative people blossom when treated with love and kindness. At least one study found hearing impaired people hear better when they feel safe. I suspect that wasn’t the case with Dr. Phil and his crew. I suspect Phil wanted ratings from a sensational show, even to the point of deliberately causing her distress pre show.

@jbt6007Ай бұрын
We will all change if we are lucky enough to live to be her age. Many celebrities would look just like her if they didn't have years of plastic surgery, filler, botox, dental implants, hair extensions or wigs. RIP Shelley.

@@Shionshowa Botox, filler, face lift. Botox, filler, face lift. Botox, filler. Botox, filler. That's why. Jane contradicts herself. She informs women about the importance of embracing aging. Yet she herself, fights it with such intensity. I admired Shelly because she aged with grace. And she was "genuine".
@ShionshowaАй бұрын
@@ron9576 that’s still doesn’t changed the fact that Fonda is basically more than a decade older than Shelley 75 to 87 and look at the trajectory when looking at both side … one is still active and maintain herself while one is not so much and let herself go and that’s pretty much her choice to be in such a disaster state.

Shelley's soul was pure. The only thing that made me sad about her was the awful treatment she had from the director of The Shining. Shelley said she was a fluke in acting and had no better, maybe that's the reason she was willing to be tortured on one way. On the other hand, the director had no right treating her the way he did. Anyways... Physical scars can be called natural. The saddest part is the scars of the soul. Until the next round on the physical realm, may your soul have the greatest time, Shelley!

I am totally not for these actresses (and actors) who go in for all this plastic surgery and facial modifications. But I am 100% FOR dental work. This goes for us common folk, too. I don't care how much it costs, if my front teeth go missing, I am having them replaced.
