What this really kinda says is that Misha put a lot of thought and consideration into his performance even though he was just a "guest " actor. Imagine how different it would have been if the other angels had followed the character choices he had established as being what angels would be like. They'd still be dicks but at least the "disconnect" (not understanding or valuing human life) would have made some sense. It would also have brought perspective to how Cas was changing through interacting w/Winchesters. It's those choices that made/make Cas the angel we can identify with and it really reflects Misha's integrity as an actor. Not to disparage what subsequent angels did-it drove the story that they be more self-assured/self-righteous than naive Cas. Plus that's some impressive height on that kick.
