Shelly Park, Cronulla Night Snorkeling

For a bit of a change, visitors to Sydney might consider a night time snorkel in one of the area’s ocean pools. Most beaches communities have an ocean pool, carved out of the shoreline’s sandstone or built on a rocky shelf. At night many of the sea creatures living in the pool come out to feed. Equipped with only a mask, snorkel and underwater light, you can explore this nightlife. The video features feeds crabs, sea hares, lionfish and even a flounder eating a toadfish. You never know what you’ll find in the pools at night.
