The movie is a mare reflection of our society. Cannot say it's a bad movie, acting and direction are not good but acceptable. My issue is with the story. What happened after those CID people visited Madan, did he got to know that he is the one who spent the money and blamed his wife? If Girdhari Lal was the culprit, why accept his mother's stupidity. Ultimately Geeta was right, this mother character is too much to bear. And who the hell is Madan, just because poor Geeta loved this moron, failed in business, can't talk to his parents properly, escapism at the peak, the only good thing he did was accepting the wonderful woman's love but can't do justice with that either. The hero of this movie is Geeta's character, 2nd lead should go to Rekha, who was readily accepting her love towards Moron Madan, take action (good or bad), and ultimately accepting her mistakes. Other kids of the family were good with Geeta but useless, can't tell the stupid mother that enough is enough. Terrible societal issues, Moron Madan was not willing to pay a dowry for his sister's wedding but ready to accept help from Geeta, why can't sell his stupid mother's jewelry then? Hate the black magic mangli upshagun ideology. Overall zero stars to the concept and story, minus marks to those who thought Moron Madan is the lead here.

What a despicable movie and story. In the climax the purohit accepts that he changed the horoscope and the girl is not Manglik, as if otherwise all the atrocities against the girl were correct!! What crap!! The whole idea of the movie storyline seemingly till last minute looks against superstition, not really, it stands with superstition!! The despicable superstitious characteristics of mother in law accepts the girl only when it is proven that the girl is not Manglik!! And that happens 40 seconds before the end!! So the mother in law actually never changes her thinking. The "hero" too comes out to be real loser when at a moment he determines to kill his wife, claiming she brought all the misfortunes for the family!! The hero is not seen convincing his superstitious mother, he rather surrenders to circumstances and eccentricity of his mother. The correct thing to show would be to show that despite the girl being Manglik, the mother in law accepts the girl and rejects the superstitious notion of Manglik!! Some stupid wrote the story. This movie is a blot on Indian cinema. Such trash should be censored.
