good video but Id like to see this type of analysis on a much more difficult passage about a more obscure topic like art or philosophy that most people arent familiar with.

Thank you for this, but this passage and these questions are soooo much easier than the actual AAMC CARS section

I tried using the super fast outline method but then I learned you will be able to highlight in the MCAT. I think it is better to highlight what sentence you feel best describes the paragraph. And if you need to look back you will be reminded of your reasoning when you see the sentence, This saved me about 1 minute each passage.

This actually seems like a really good idea, only highlight main idea

Thank you this was helpful. I learned that I have to stop reading an answer choice quickly and assuming what it means off the top of my head. I really have to take everything I am reading at face-value and specifically focus on what the answer choices/passage is EXACTLY saying. It is so hard to analyze without personal bias but it is critical in order to do well on the CARS section

Reading everything at face-value is very important! We're happy to hear you've picked up on that tip. Best of luck. :)

I suffered from that too. When I took my time, my accuracy went up by 10% (from 125 to 127). Wish the same to you as well.

For explanation of Q5, the passage did mention what comes before carbon neutrality: "Only then can a lofty goal of carbon neutrality..." People need to get consent first before achieving carbon neutrality.

omg all the questions shown here are the exact same types of Qs I get wrong on CARS. Thank you for your video! Wishing me luck for 8/26 testing :)))

This is amazing. Thank you so much Vikram. I will be taking the MCAT in March and am still struggling with CARS. I will be incorporating your method to see how it works out for me. I was advised not to take more than 4 min to read the passage so I can have about 1 min per question. Do you think reading/jotting down main idea/paragraph would be achieved in this time frame? I think my weakest point in CARS is timing.

Can you discuss why not D for the 1st question? If political relationship are worse off - then coordination for climate change becomes tougher - so that hurts the author’s opinion doesn’t it?
@sohamapte4362 жыл бұрын
Are u sure #4 is correct? I feel like D is the right answer because the said rhetoric questions are to be posed at the environmental committees

I’m sorry but I’m still confused from the passage like I listen and read it myself and still can’t find the main idea
@WSUGLUE2 жыл бұрын
I think doing some practice in finding the main idea of passages or texts might help. Try to read online how the main idea of a piece of writing is found and how to be able to summarize pieces of text. Also sometimes the main idea or gist of a passage can be gathered from the beginning and end of a passage, the first and last couple sentences. The rest of the passage is most of the time just details/examples. Hopefully this somewhat helps.
