Sometimes hikes don’t go as planned, and this winter adventure on North Mount Marshall in Shenandoah National Park was certainly one of those times.
We started the day looking forward to a quick sunset hike, but as we reached the summit, the weather and the park closure alert forced us to change plans. With cold temperatures, strong winds, and snow on the ground, we made the smart and safe decision to head back early.
This video shares our experience of adapting when Shenandoah National Park closes mid-hike, along with a look at the stunning winter scenery of Shenandoah National Park from North Mount Marshall trail.
