beautiful video. Abhaya Wewa is one of the oldest lakes built but the Panda Wewa built by Sri Lankans before Vijaya is older. It is in fact the oldest reservoir built in the world and lasted until the 19th Century AD. Panda Wewa also had the sophisticated technology unique to Sri Lanka;the brickwork proves that they had the technology to burn bricks. The invention of the Biskotuwa is the reason by either the yakkas ,nagas or veddahs shows that technology pre-dated indian ifluence. More information is found in Ancient Ceylon by By Henry Parker published in 1909

Wow a lovely destination... it would be an amazing holiday for us.. haven't been out for more than an year... due to the pandemic plus work and also because of my new born... this will be a great opportunity to visit the ancient city of Anuradhapura plus to stay over at the lovely Uga Ulagalla and experience the traditional elegance and aristocracy of this hotel.
