Shenmue 3 was good game and it didn't ruin the story it follow the stroy progressing in excellent way..

I remember this year. Lan Di actually won the Flex of the Year 2001 for rolling up out of there, not on a helicopter, but on a helicopter ladder. In his acceptance speech, he thanked Carmen San Diego.

I’m putting it here which is somewhere else to show I have proof of MY THEORY. I predict lan di is xiuyings brother who left for the vengeful path and who is EXACTLY like ryo hazuki. Ryo watched his dad die and got kicked by lan di. When lan di was young lan di also watched ryos dad kill his dad as ryos dad kicked lan di and I’m going to assume that’s why lan di has that scar a scar ryo will also have once he removes his bandage. Look at their expression and look at lan dis scar. I believe even the kick was vengeful which is why he gave the same kick he got kicked with. I believe ryo will spare lan di when the time comes and he will do it because of xiuying. Lan di will have the black yin and yang necklace or maybe he will even see ryo has the white yin and yang necklace and that’s what will help ryo choose the good path instead of the vengeful path. This is my prediction I didn’t get this from anywhere I just played the first two games and it was at this exact scene when I was playing (shenmue 2 again before shenmue 3 came out/to refresh my memory also) where I noticed this was the most obvious proof yet. “LIKE.A.POLISHED.MIRROR”

Sadly Yu Suzuki confirmed that Xiuyings brother and Lan di are two different people, it would make for an excellent story otherwise.

Yu Suzuki should have ended the series with Shenmue III. I love this game and series but it's becoming too dated and inconsistent to rely upon for as captivating an experience.
