While working for the Lambesis advertising agency, we proposed including a VHS "magazine" (Channel A) with every pair of skate shoes sold for client Airwalk. Marketing students will be familiar with the campaign from Malcolm Gladwell's book, The Tipping Point. The interview was conducted at the BLKMKT offices in San Diego, California at a time when Shep was gaining notoriety for the Andre the Giant campaign, but was not yet the international art star who helped Barrack Obama get elected. We later went out and filmed him wheat-pasting around downtown San Diego. We licensed Helen Stickler's documentary, "Andre the Giant has a posse" for the intro. Second camera in the interview was shot by famed skateboard photographer Daniel Harold Sturt. There's a ton of rad art in the background and street shots: Giant, Twist, Frost, Kaws, Faile, Havek TVC.
