'Rachel McAdams is rumored to reprise her role as Irene Adler,'..............well that will certainly be something of a miracle considering that Irene Adler met her maker courtesy of a poisoned cuppah provided by one Professor Moriarty in the last movie. Sebastian Moran is a more likely candidate for a return, perhaps even the good professor himself - seeing as Sheer-luck survived the Falls, why not the Professore?

The reason I love this trailer, is that any time you can remind people that Americans should never, never, never, never, never portray any character with a British accent, the better. British actors are more accomplished that are trained and more skilled at portraying Americans And they’re varied accents. Americans, all American actors who have ever tried sound no better than Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins. Robert Downey Jr. is no better.

I have a 2 volume hardcover of The Annotated Sherlock Holmes and am currently reading The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes. Which book/story was the confrontation in?

@@Nothing2CHere4U The short story appeared in the Strand Magazine in December of 1893. It was called The Final Problem. By that time Doyle was fed up with Holmes & wanted to kill off the character.I am not sure which collection the story appeared in eventual.
