Recreating their ‘Study in Scarlet’ introduction was a nice touch. Though I wish they stuck with the ‘chemical analysis’ rather than the bruising corpses from the BBC adaptation. I hope they make a sequel. I arrived at ending 4 depicted here. I liked that it was narrated third-party (Mycroft) - and alludes to concerning personality traits Holmes is exhibited. I’m not sure if he’s suggesting the surveillance attack was supposed to be Holmes… or if it’s insinuating Moriarty.

I think he's alluding to both - saying that only Sherlock could have done so - or, if not Sherlock, Moriarty. For him, they're both the only men in England capable of such a feat.

I absolutely loved this game but i would have liked more of a straight answer when it comes to the ending. Small changes here and there with both Jon and Mycroft depending on what Sherlock did (listening or not to his brother's orders in the cases, appealing or not to Jon) but Violet's outcome I wish they would've made it very clear... I feel within me that the true ending is the one Sherlock blames himself... it just makes sense in a lot of levels, and in that one Mycroft still blames it on the Doctor which would connect everything else. Its Hella painful but then again no one playing this should have expected a happy ending. PD: I love Jon so much 😭😭❤

So each ending is a different timeline basically. Depending on what you choose determines what happened in the past. I'm not sure which one would be the best choice, at least from my perspective.

Just different how Sherlock saw it . Facts are same. It is is main theme of game , what is truth , justice , does it even exist . Old questions but people debate it still and we should. Pontius Pilate ask the Christ "What is the truth " even then and it is asked before that many times. It is in side cases as well and they are good as main game by every means . There is no best ending but to blame himself, sim like he is going for it whole game . I saw guilt on him before I knew what happened ( or big pressure ), through small tasks and dialogs ,when he found "fathers" skull and such .

What is up with the painting by Verner? Is this for Easter egg sake (Because the picture looks a lot like L from the Death Note series who was a detective himself bit like Sherlock) or does it have a meaning I don’t get ?

It means that Verner thinks that Sherlock is insane. Verner had noticed that Sherlock talks to himself (or to his imagionary friend Jon). Also Verner knows that Sherlock is son of Violet, who was mentally ill. So in my opinion this picture represents Sherlock's inside, which is terrifying. Don't forget the way how Verner said "You really are beautiful".

It seems to me that in any ending you also get the other Jon scene so that can't be used as evidence to the cannon ending.

It's because Watson coincidentally resembles Jon. Sherlock's being reminded of him and thus his past.

there is no good or bad ending it depends on the player how he sees it. The truth is clear that sherlock and his friend jon was undirectly a cause of his mother's death but do you choose to blame his action when he was a child and accept the life destroying truth or blame the doctor and move on but dont forget that sherlock holmes always seeks to reveal the truth so careful to contradict yourself.

When you are about to enter the garden, Jon blocks the door and tells you there is no turning back after opening the door and that you still have a lot to do on Cordona. It's like a final warning

You can, you just have to go to the Load menu and load up a save from before that point.
