They're not continuing any previous Sherlock Holmes series. This is a brand new project, entirely self contained. This means. - it has nothing to do with any Sherlock Holmes story prior to it, whether that be games, books, or movies. The story is entirely self contained, check the description for proof. Think of this game as a beginning to a new Sherlock Holmes, perhaps the start of a whole new game series. It's not a continuation of anything prior to it.

At least the games says this takes place in their younger years so I’ll give them that. The games Dodger played are supposed to be a continuation of the game that perceived it. It doesn't seem like you could tell, so duh they're not gonna have the same face and voice actor in this game, as it has nothing to do with any other Sherlock Holmes game released to date. It's the start of a new Sherlock Holmes series, beginning as he starts his journey to become the world's greatest detective. So, of course they would have a new voice actor and face. When you're doing something brand new, you do whatever's necessary to distance it from previous releases. If you read the description, this game is an entirely self-contained story. Nothing to do with any other Sherlock Holmes game. It's pretty much common sense that there'd be a different face and voice actor, as this is a completely different person's take on Sherlock Holmes. Do you understand now?

Actually, I think it's the third time. Mystery of the Mummy had a different voice actor and look from rest of the series. I prefer the 2004 - 2009 Sherlock Holmes games, but Testament and Crimes & Punishments were cool too. Great graphics.
