These two do a wonderful job of portraying these two iconic characters.

Thank you SO much for your Sherlock Holmes episodes , I. ..like many other retired doctors, nurses , security guards etc ...was unable to watch so many excellent programmes because of night shifts and. ..in my case ...juggling bringing up children and my dearest hubby ???? He's the only child left 😅😅😅 but the grandchildren are a bonus .

Undoubtedly, world's best Sherlock Holmes, couched in the only terms a true rendition can faithfully find itself: in the able hands of a predominantly breathtakingly eloquent British ensemble. No one can quite capture and convey those delicate nuances peculiar to that culture better than actors culled from it. I think for example of the restrained tenderness of many moments such as Sherlock lacing his arm around the sturdy elbow of his dear friend Dr. Watson as they walk through the streets of London, both leaning on his friend's Everyman strength, and offering the support of his Always Just Passing Through poetic eccentricity, aware and almost apologetic that he will always mean more to others than he himself can experience in return, and humbly tipping his hat, and heart, to the bumbling efforts of kind people, and indirectly, to us, his audience...The non patronizing affection Jeremy Brett brought to the role made the character of Sherlock Holmes iconic, and beloved. What a brilliant brilliant actor, and a brilliant ensemble....With deep appreciation...

Yes, the great Harry Andrews . Not a huge star and not well known outside of UK but like many of the supporting cast he had trained and worked in Theatre . Somehow it always shines through - that whole generation of actors has passed away and can never be replaced .

A tribute to Actor Jeremy Brett on 12th September. Though fictional Character Sherlock Homes remained today, the real one has left us twenty three years ago. But he lives in our heart. Still I amaze why I feel to see him on screen again and again have no answer. Such a craving to watch his movies never felt with any before. He remains forever. Vejayanandch 12,Sept 2018.

If he's dressing for dinner 4:19 does this infer he works naked :o
@WalterJoergLangbein6 жыл бұрын
Of course not, he works in more casual clothing!
@keepdancingmaria6 жыл бұрын
First of all, it is imply, not infer. Second of all, they changed their clothing for their evening meal, even if dining alone. Evening gowns, dinner jackets, etc. The clue to their usage was in the name. You were expected to dress for dinner when you held a certain social status. Of course, they did not have to do their own laundry...
