She is so painfully shy, that it couldn't get more adorable. I love her character. She is a girl that we all can relate to. Everybody was in that kind of situation when they were hopelessly in love with somebody who doesn't pay attention to them at all. She is so vulnerable and caring what it's really heart-breaking to see her get hurt by Sherlock over and over again.

I love the fact that all the characters in the show have similar mannerisms and personalities to the actors who play them. Benedict has Sherlock's refined intelligence, Martin has John's passionate point of view, and I think that's something required to be able to portray the part well and convincingly. Louise definitely plays the 'awkward yet adorable fan girl' perfectly, since she already matches up to those characteristics quite well.

I don't think it's necessarily fair to say that she can't be a role model because of the way she acts toward Sherlock. She has an incredible amount of patience, which is something that anyone who deals with him needs. I think she's an excellent role model of holding your tongue. She doesn't have to be a badass female character to be a good role model. There are things about her that can be emulated as well.
