Oh god yes was this episode was sad, I have to say I didn't cry, possibly because I was too shocked about all the other stuff that was going on (like creepy Smith o.O), but it broke my heart to see John beat up Sherlock. And also the sad thing with Mary in John's head. And of course the absolutely devastated, broken and suicidal Sherlock. In my opinion he was defenitely suicidal in this episode, because in the scene where he talks about suicide it seemed as if he was talking to himself, to convince himself that he can't do it because of John. And he leaned strangely over that railing, as if he wanted to jump. My interpretation though. But there were also such great parts, which you mentioned too. For example Mrs. Hudson! She's just great XD I personally also loved the twist with Euros. It was just so unexpected! And the hug. Your description/reaction was exactly mine XD I have watched that hug already so many times now but I'm still not over it. I really hope Johnlock finally becomes canon next episode. I know I'm going to die next week anyways, either because Johnlock is canon or because it's not. I wish you a good week, enjoy this time before this fandom is going to explode XD

It's so sad watching you talk about this - especially the johnlock part - after the third episode has been released... John finally figures out it's Sherlock's birthday when he hears Irene's text. That knowledge sets him off on his talk about how important it is to have that special someone in your life who makes you want to be better than you are(as John does for Sherlock) and that you have to go after love. Sherlock's birthday is January 6, the Feast of the Epiphany. John finally has an epiphany(revelation) about Sherlock and love. I think that sounds clearer in my head but I hope I was clear enough.

The Adventure of the Sussex Vampire: a case about a blue-eyed older sibling with a traumatic childhood injury, how tries to poison their younger brother. They practice by poisoning (and killing) they family dog. I think that is Euros. Maybe she tried to kill sherlock and practiced by killing redbeard (which could explain why we're now seeing flashbacks thay kind of focus on redbeard?) I think that could be the big thing that she did that leads to sherlock and mycroft not even MENTIONING her. Because Sherrinford (assuming hes the 4th Holmes brother) is at least mentioned by Mycroft and they are speaking. Euros however, has not been mentioned at all, so she wouldve had to have done something horrible. So I definetely believe that Euros tried to poison Sherlock or something when she was younger (psychopath?) and the Holmes' sent her away. Which could explain why Sherlock didnt recognize her...because he was too young to remember her. And also while John was texting Euros, she jokingly that she was a vampire, which could be moffatiss hunting at the story i mentioned at the beginning. This is just my theory, let me know what you think

I thought John beating up Sherlock was really true to life. And of course, it wasn't the first time. Looking back, I recall the Sherlock accepted Molly's hefty slaps without resistance in S3E3. And in this episode, Sherlock goes even further by saying, "He is entitled". He is telling John in a way that he is sorry for his role in Mary's death and accepts responsibility. I think he is hoping that John will then soften his attitude towards him. Hence the devastation we see plainly on his face after John says ,"Yes, you did."

6:15 - I think the show is using exterior knowledge (Sherrinford being a supposed Holmes brother in some canons) to throw the audience off. My guess is that in the show it refers to a place. Maybe an asylum Euros escaped from. Or maybe somewhere completely unrelated to their sibling at all, and we just assumed (again, due to outside knowledge) that one referred to the other.

Hmm... I sort of like the four siblings theory cause the line about 3 being comforting is totally something mofftiss would do. I also saw a theory on the internet that Sherrinford is a place that Euros was being held for some sort of criminal type thing. I feel like that theory is easier to believe but the line about three. Stuff never seems to have just the one meaning in this show. ALSO Euros is an east wind thought to bring hardship, and more specifically RAIN. da da day, water is gay, da da doo, this show is too

I could tell that the therapist and Faith was the same person (when faith comes over to Sherlock's home I was like, "How and why is the therapist here?" but I didn't know that the red head that John was seeing was also the same person. I predicted that there would be something shady later on about the mysterious woman on the bus but that she's Sherlock's sister, no one could have guessed! What do you think is the reason she's coming after John and intends to kill him? Maybe it's because she wants the attention from Sherlock that John gets...

I totally agree with you ... THIS EPISODE WAS JUST THE FUCKING BEST of the entire season and yes maybe even one of the best I saw since season 2. Too much feels. And Celverton is so .... ewww disgusting and disturbing and totally insane. And Mary, I'll miss her, cause let's be honest she's the Johnlock shipper number ONE ! I really was piece of shit after seeing it the first time, then I rewatched it 2 days ago ( french version) and it was worst, or better.

I'm having the unhappy feeling that she's Sherlock's twin because, "it's never twins, John." And we're going to have to give up Sherlock/John as a homosexual couple in any way. The writers went full "No Homo". And comforting a friend physically when they're breaking down, as John was, is not unusual for men, even completely heterosexual men. It IS unusual for Sherlock, though. THAT'S the surprise. There was nothing romantic in that comforting of a crying John. Notice John let Sherlock hug him (lightly!) but gave nothing in return. Johnlock is not happening in Series 4.

Pardon my late comment. I am just now rewatching the show and enjoy your videos. "All white people look the same" haha! I love your humour. And thanks for telling me you're the same person. Alright now, TLD. John railing at Sherlock in the morgue and drawing blood and Sherlock just let him got really personal and I did burst into tears and had to take a break from watching it. That positive message for those struggling against suicide is very poignant. Culverton's character reminds me of Peter Pettigrew. I was unnerved. "There's something comforting after number three; everyone stops looking after number three." Tom Hiddleston playing the other brother would be a nice insert. I didn't even catch the parallel between John and fake-Faith in TLD with John possibly being suicidal before he met Sherlock. I cried when John had touched Sherlock's tombstone when Sherlock faked his death. Mary is so perceptive. When she teases Sherlock at the wedding and told him, "Ohhhh Sherlock.... neither of us were [John's] first you know?" when Sherlock was jealous of how John was being with Major Sholto. Janine too, telling Sherlock, "I wish you weren't.... you know... whatever you are" with John walking into that frame, and later even Janine kissing Sherlock then leaving and Sherlock closes the door again with John in the frame - the framing is not done by accident in a show as detailed as this. John's long-term affections and loyalty are definitely not given easily, so Mary and Sherlock are very dear to him, and John makes Sherlock more... Sherlock.
