Me too! I was never a fan of detective movies/series/books, so I wasn't really excited when we started watching an Episode of it in the English class. After two minutes I started warming up to the episode. After five minutes, I was loving it. After ten minutes, I was a huge Sherlock fan already. I think the writers put that in there because it's really trope-y and that's exactly what viewers would expect. But people have been asking for a while what else he possibly could have been about to say, and I honestly think it was "Thank you." Like really, when else do we get a honest-to-God expression of gratitude from Sherlock to John? But of course he'd abort that statement because it's Sherlock and he wanted to make light of the situation.

He held his crowd hostage and talked endlessly about how amazing John is and how lucky he is to have him as his best friend. How he's saved his life so many times and in so many ways. How he's got a lifetime to prove that he will never let John down and that he loves John as much as Mary does. That he had a bonafide Locked Room Murder which is a metaphorical wet dream for someone like Sherlock, and yet he said the only point of interest was John. I just think that "Thank you" would be very anti-climactic after the wedding speech. To me, it's got to be something heavy.

The scene(s) where Sherlock is nearly dead and you see how he process that inside his mind and fights against dying... I loved the whole episode, it features so much! One of the other things I loved about it was f.e. the way we see so much more of the relatinship between Sherlock and Mycroft or the differences between Moriarty and Magnussen as main villan.

If you were watching the show right, how could you miss the moment right after Sherlock shoots Magnussen? The moment when Sherlock makes the ultimate sacrifice and kills for John, and while a distraught John looks at the helicopter in the sky, Sherlock gives John a gut-wrenching stare that bares all. And right before he's cuffed, he says...."Give My Love To Mary". And then we're made to wait for 3 years.

Top 10 is definitely not enough to mention all the brilliant moments, this show is just too perfect and simply made of ingenious moments. However, I definitely think the Sherlock shooting CAM scene should be here. The moment Sherlock's taking decision to destroy his life for John and the look in his eyes is priceless - always makes me shiver. And the 'Merry Christmas' comment is just EPIC.
