As a lifetime lover of audiobooks, as well as the Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, you are the best in the business! Like many, I mourned the passing of the late great Jeremy Brett, who was the quintessential Holmes in the Grenada TV series of the 1980s and 90s, and I never thought I would really enjoy any other rendition. Well!😊You have surpassed all expectations, and provided endless hours of listening pleasure. Thank you! Keep up the excellent work, and God bless you, Greg Wagland, for sharing your gift with the world!❤

J.B was definitely the most authentic Holmes I've seen on screen. Can't remember the name of the actor playing Watson but same for him. So many bumbling Watsons through the years. These guys rule supreme and of course Gregg Waglland when it comes to audio he's not too shabby either. 😉

By this time I am well familiar with Holmes like he is my own brother of mischief. Its makes me laugh so hard whenever he made a comeback to those who chapped him.😊😊😊 I think listening from him taught me how to counter insolently yet with gracious deliveration so that the sting will be felt deeper, the reciever will be dumbfounded😂😂😂😂 Well of course, its all because Mr. Greg narrates them better than how myself would read it. Each charaters comes to life, that the whole scene could be pictured out even if one hasn't got a good imagination. thanks for this Mr. Greg, another well narrated story.😊

In the UK, isn't the first floor an upper floor. The ground floor is at ground level and the first floor is up one flight of steps from there. I think other countries label the floors differently.

a disappointing story - it depended less on cleverness than on an unlikely trick - loved the confrontation between Holmes and the 2 men with the narrator skillfully rendering the 3 different voices and accents - it seemed like there were 3 actors involved

@montythelittlefamilyman49824 жыл бұрын
Yes, The Casebook has more of these "less clever" stories, but I love it for its adventurousness with different subject matters and general quirkiness, adding much to the character of Holmes. In most of the other Casebook stories Conan Doyle experimented with different types of romance, it seems. This particular story stands out in its lightness and humour. I had forgotten about it for a long while. Enjoyed it a lot!
