I just got il 2 great battles because of UT videos. I'm not brave enough to play on line cuz I'll just get clapped but I'm slowly learning. Games got a big learning curve when ur ur teaching ur self lol. Took like a day and a half to freaking land with out destroying my Plane but I love this game

I belive the Germans used to call the Shirman Tank Tommy cookers because so many Brits died in them. My Uncle used to tell me how he was in a small bren tank once and he sore this Tiger in the road. he said you had never seen a tank move so fast in your life. he was a soldier. according to Kelly's Hero's the weakest point of a tiger is in the back. I'm reminded of the film Fury seeing this video

It was the British who called it the Tommy Cookers, but really it was the British tank crews's fault more so than the M4 design. When first crewing the M4, the British decided to fill all the M4 extra spaces with ammo. Hence, when an enemy shell punch the outer ammo, the chance of cooking off the overstuff M4s was high. Once the Allied crews pratice proper ammo storage as well as putting in wet ammo storage, the chance of the M4 cooking off became lower than many German tank designs. Also, contrary to popular belief, the US forces rarely encounter Tiger Is. A important fact when one of the most sought source about the M4 being a "bad tank" came from a US tank mechanic who never saw frontline combat and thought a lot of the damaged/destroyed US M4s were against Tigers. In reality, hidden German anti-tank cannons and infantries with anti-tank weapons accounted for the majority of destroyed US and other Western Allied tanks. Moreover, people tend to forgot the Allies tend to be the attackers, and as such were expected to lose more due to the disadvantages of moving out in the open. When the German tanks did their own offensives, they were also soundly beaten by Allied defenders. The fame German Tiger Ace Whittmann lose his entire unit in an attack without even taking out the defending British and Canadian tanks. Then, there was the battle of battle of Arracourt (2nd largest US/German tank battle, which resulted in the Germans losing around 200 tanks and assualt guns (Stugs, etc) while only destroying 32 US tanks/tabk destroyers. Also, the side armors of a Tiger I was 80mm, same as its rear and frankly the side is a better target because it directly were the ammo and crews are located. The engine is in the rear, so it would protect the crew to a extent. Moreover, the tank in Fury was an M4 Easy 8 with a 76mm, which could have easily took out the Tiger I from the front at the range shown.

The fact that I was able to penetrate a Pz.IV from the side in a measly Sherman is absolutely absurd and unrealistic. Did you know the Germans had a top secret shield generator around their tanks? The technology was similar to the Gungan shield generators as seen in Star Wars Episode 1 The Phantom Menace.
