I think for a lot of people, weight is a bigger concern than range, so I can see the Lynx still being the better wheel for most people even if money isn't factor.

The decision of which wheel to buy is much easier if you have hard constraints, like weight.

Seems incredibly efficient. I know I typically see 45-55Wh/Mi on my OG Sherman at about the same average riding speed for the tour, but was seeing you getting readings in the 30s when you were going over 30mph, and not even doing seated riding, which would improve the numbers even more. Amazing.

oh my goodness, and i have only had my Lynx for approximately two weeks. and i have noticed that i only get approximately 55 to 60 miles of range, although i’m cruising 35 to 45 miles per hour every chance i get 50-60% of the ride. to think of what wheels will be coming out in the next two years is truly beyond imagination. i mean, what the wheels will be capable of. next level, beyond beyond.

I agree, the Sherman L is better than the Lynx. I would given it a whole new military tank name. I would love to have this wheel as a winter commuter. Also... nice play, Leaper Kim.

I've been doing 85mi regularly on my V3, with a hill climb at the end. Speeds between 20-34 mph, cruising about 25 - I have about 60% battery after resting it at the end of the trip. I think with that big wheel size and still the biggest battery, I'm sure the Master Pro will get much better range, but my V3 weighs 127 lbs, so there is a trade.
@cruisinatl9495
@cruisinatl9495 4 ай бұрын
On my V2, I've gotten to 50% in 20 miles. Average riding speed of 34mph on EUC world. That's with a lot of stop and go, and hard acceleration each time. If you don't ride like a maniac, the master pro is amazing. 20mph average riding speed, 20 miles got me to 77%.

I’m still riding a sherman without suspension and I have a lot for which to look forward. Here call me out if i’m wrong: Nice cushy suspension with lots of options (4 shocks ?? seriously, so curious maybe flawed?) Active bms , higher current lower resistance batteries, more weight unless I consider the Falcon, possibly (very important to me) easier maintenance, I have never ridden seated (there is that), a wheel that does not self explode meaning the rim, fake safety and ip certification, hopefully fail safe for battery or other issues (where is AI and I don’t mean fuzzy logic lol). I won’t continue but just to say I can wait but I can’t “wait.”

4 shocks is the Kingsong F22. The Sherman-L uses the same 2 FastAce shocks found on the Lynx with a slightly different but compatible springs (linear versus progressive).

Sorry, I was not clear. I was “ranting” about All these new wheels and the features All of these wheels they are coming with some really interesting benefits. I do not get why kingston would try to add 4 suspension rails and or shocks because if one goes out the wheel will be off balance meanwhile the weight of 4 vs 2 and likelihood of failure is doubled as is cost?

I also prefer the pedal at -2, also on those more powerful wheels its easier to accelerate and brake in medium mode i use medium 60% all my previous wheels were in hard mode and it was perfect but on my Lynx medium is the best, i don't like the soft mode the pedals dip way too much. The L seems more stable than the Lynx though probably because of the weight and the larger tire.

Marty, how do you deal with wind noise in your helmet on your longer rides? It's something I'm contending with and I'm trying not to need to wear earplugs every time I want to go above 30 mph due to wind hitting my chest and coming up inside the helmet. I don't see this talked about much in the community.

Batteries get 8 to nine percent lighter each year very consistently. If solid state batteries get to the point they are promised there could be a leap in energy density. This could mean a 4000wh batter which weighs 34 to 35 pounds would weight approximately 21 pounds on the conservative optimistic side and could be as light as 17 pounds

I don't think anyone knows. What does "Sherman S" mean?
@c4ristopher
@c4ristopher 4 ай бұрын
I thought "Sherman S" was short for "Sherman Suspension" and I think the "L" is just for "Lynx" because they have essentially combined the Sherman and the Lynx together to make this wheel. Even as popular as the Lynx is, is doesn't have as strong branding as the Sherman name does. It has had more iterations at Leaperkim and also has more of that strong tank feel compared to the Lynx name.

Obviously, one of the main reasons people will get Sherman L is because of its 4,000wh battery packs. That being said, 30mph range test is kind of pointless these days. People want to see if it can do 60miles distance at 50mph all the way.
