I've been following SHERP for a while now. My only criticisms would be that they need to get the cost down dramatically and make this road worthy (street legal). Perhaps have a different tire option. As well they should be moving towards an electric power train. I'd love this to be both my inner city commuter and longer range weekend vehicle. I've been looking for a street legal UNIMOG type vehicle for everyday use. Electrification of the SHERP ATV and partnering with TESLA's supercharger network would be a game changer for SHERP. If this were to happen I'd likely sell my Tesla and buy a SHERP... or at the very least I'd just add a the SHERP to my garage. This would also kill the Jeep market share and was what I hoped the Tesla Cybertruck would look like. I love what you guys are doing! Keep up the great work.
@chriskelvin2484 жыл бұрын
I could imagine this being electrified. The challenge would be keeping the weight of the battery packs and motors in line with the diesel powertrain + fuel. Necessary to keep the Sherp afloat. Probably doable, a big increase in weight would just reduce the payload, but still allow flotation for the most part. Street legality on paved highways won't happen. The key to Sherp's all terrain mastery is those massive balloon tires and the simplicity and ruggedness of skid-steer. Neither of those would be allowed on a paved street. Take them away to somehow make it safe on the street and you lose all the awesome all terrain capability.

To developers of SHERP, why don't you guys go and sponsor youtubers or car shows to use your SHERP and they embark on a special adventure challenge where they go from point A to point B, and the journey is filled with various obstacles like going through mud, crossing big rivers, ice, and even thick jungles. Trust me. Since many people now craves for 4x4 adventure videos, it sure will be a hit. I know I'll watch that one for sure.
