Another lovely wander!!! Sherpa chatting it up with the locals cause he fits in everywhere! Sherpa has the nose for sniffing out other malamute owners, and this one had carrots! My Chesapeake Retriever gone these twenty years now🥰, loved raw carrots. My little cocker, Faith, that I have now spits them out but she loves green beans (well cooked) with her kibble, 😂. A friend of mine had a Malamute that loved a small green salad of lettuce, chopped tomatoes and sliced carrots on top of her kibble for supper. Each dog is different, bless their hearts. ❤️💕 Glad to hear Sherpa is recovering nicely from his surgery, Jaime. 🕯🙏🥰

When you mentioned the term Whipper snapper I was reminded of the interesting origin of the term. It dates back to the 1600s in London, when young [teenage] boys hung out on the sidewalk snapping short whips. The snapping made a loud noise. The boys were called whip snappers, but the term later turned into whipper snapper. The loud snapping annoyed adults, and the boys were considered to have no apparent get up and go. Although these boys are often referred to as *young* whipper snappers, the use of the word young is not necessary, as whipper snappers were always young.
