When our mastiff got older and slipped a disk, his back legs started to fail. We were told to use a Help Em Up Harness and it worked beautifully to help him stand and keep his back legs organized. You are doing a wonderful job with Sherpa. Don’t listen to the trolls. We are all pulling for you and Sherpa.

The Help Em Up Harness was a great help for us when we traveled after our Samoyed started having issues with stairs. I have a small car and he also had the issues with the back seat that Sherpa has. Galliprant is supposed to be easier on the liver than other NSAIDs and we gave Adequan injections. Our vet also offers K Laser and Acupuncture with K Laser.

We've always either had Huskies or Malamutes, and as they got older, their hips were the first major problems with. The pups took anti-inflammatorys really didn't work. The kids all reached happy ages 12 years, 14yrs, 11yrs, 13years. Ignore the negative comments those people are long on mouth and short on brains. Keep up what your doing

Iv followed Sherpa for a long time. I lost Monty a year ago the week before Xmas! He was 15 blind and deaf. My husky, 12, just had his first Liberal injection a few weeks ago. I started to see a difference. He is getting up much easier. The vet did say we may not see a big difference until after the 2nd injection which is on 2/15. It doesn't affect their organs either which is fantastic. Good luck.

It’s tough getting old, I know, I’m 75. I’m a little like Sherpa, hard to get up but once up and moving I’m ok. Plus nothing moves as well when it is colder. My dog will go in and out of his bed too. I think it is a temperature thing. They get too hot in the bed they will lay on the floor for a while. You might think about helping him up just to make it easier for him so he can get up and going. Sending good thoughts!

Our Eliott who had similar problems got Librela injections once a month + laser. It was much better. To help him getting up on slippery floors we put him doggy boots. It helped a lot.

Jamie, you are a great Dad. I know your love and care for Sherpa is most genuine. With my elderly Australian Shepherd mix dog, Sam, who had hip dysplasia I made so many different accommodations for him in his latter years (different car, carpet throughout covering slippery wooden floors, ramps covering the outside steps, specially built wooden dog house, harnesses). At the very end of his life we were considering a doggy wheelchair. Sam lived an extraordinary life with me and I am so grateful for all the years we shared together. My pack and I mourned his loss but I still see Sam in the two brothers that he raised. So, Jamie keep doing what you are doing loving and caring for Sherpa. You will never regret your time spent caring for Sherpa. All our collective prayers are with you.🙏💕

Jamie, Librela injection is what our Labrador started taking for arthritis and pain. We are already seeing small improvements but the vet did say you really wouldn’t see improvement till after 2nd treatment. Jamie you live with Sherpa, you in your heart know how he is doing every minute, everything you do for him that we never see. Our dog goes from bed to bed, from carpet to wood floor trying to change position, get comfortable etc. Maybe they are critical of your hair because their bald???? Oh and you NEVER force Sherpa in the mini!!!! He loves riding with his fur in the wind and saying hello to everyone!!! Did they not see the videos of Sherpa going to the mini waiting on you because he wanted to ride in the mini??? Concentrate on you, Sherpa and your family that is what matters ❤️🐾we support you!!!!!

I have a hard time walking. Which is why I understand his rocking before he jumps into the car. I rock back and forth to get into my car. I refuse pain killers because I don't know when I should stop and take a rest. He is one happy pup, don't allow people that don't understand to bother you in any way. If you can build the wooden structure after the back seat is out in the Mini, he would be so comfortable. When you build it, make sure that it is hinged for a fold down to get him in. I have build it several times in my mind, but that doesn't help Sherpa. Sherpa will do what is best for him. If only everyone were able to love, as much as you love Sherpa.

Yes, it certainly helps! I've had it done on two of my dogs for years. But not just for the pain and joint inflamation... Just had a session today for my Dakko. Unfortunately lack of therapy, rain etc... all at the same time haven't helped...but one can't control the elements. Hang in there buddies!

There are many resources online for dog guardians [doesn't that sound better than "dog owners"?] to learn the relevant acupressure points.

Sherpie loves his new home and yard. That is the biggest gift you could have done for him. I get up like Sherpa does after trying to clean the floors. Lol. Stiffness comes with arthritis. They don't deserve a second of your time to give them importance Jamie. When i saw the notification and saw the title I got so nervous..... Dont mind what people say about hair, have it however you want! Put a ponytail on it, it will surely annoy them more!! Hahaha. Well I see Sherpy so strong!! Hes our best Champion, he has the best dad ever Who takes care of him in the Most unbeatable way!!!!❤❤❤❤❤ Great to hear what vet said and so that works great, and if many ppl told u....im very Happy to see that Sherpy has the biggest family in the world, where Im included of course!!! Some people are just mean for no reason. Anyone who watches your channel knows how much you take care of Sherpa, plus how happy he always was with the wind blowing in the mini! Sherpa has the best life a dog could ask for!

Everybody who has ever had a dog in their own lifetime, all know how devoted and loving you are as a dog lover, Sherpa has had a wonderful life with you. You have continued to always put Sherpa's needs first, no one should ever think otherwise, hope Sherpa will be around for still, for a long time, remember though when he finally leaves this world to think about all the wonderful moments you have share with him, also with the people around the world that love him dearly, no one will ever forget the adventures and moments you two have shared with us all, whatever the future God has intented, good or bad, please consider giving another dog a happy life, just like Sherpa, he would want you to do this, you have proved to us that a dog's life is so very valuable even though they have shorter lives than we do. Every time I have owned a dog or two together, I have continued to give my love and affection to another who needed love so much. Hi Jamie. I hate that precious Sherpa might have pain that's anything like my arthritis pain (I have the same issues with pain killers vs. affect on organs, etc). I'm glad you're trying the Librella(??) injections. I'll try to help with the expense. I'm sure others will, too. By the way, speaking of expenses, have I mentioned before that I watch all the ads in your videos and click through to most of the advertisers' websites (I learn a lot!), so I hope you're getting the maximum benefit of that.

My Max is getting older(12), and I certainly see his struggles in some areas. He's still getting around pretty good, but is slowing down greatly. Love that Sherpa. Hope he gets some help with his legs.

I love you and Sherpa. I wish we could keep them forever.but sadly we can't. He's had the absolute best life with you, it's so sad seeing them get old. I've noticed my little guy getting worse the last few months, breaks your heart. Give Sherpa kisses from me. Chin up and ignore the dumb asses ❤

Poor Sharpa. Best of luck Jamie. I got a German shepherd husky mix puppy as a Christmas present from a friend who knew I’ve been wanting one. He’s such a sweet boy. I want to start a KZbin channel for him and his older cat sister eventually, crossing fingers that nobody tries telling me they know my dog/cat better then I do like people are obviously doing to you but that’s most likely never going to happen.
