Only constructive criticism I have is, I would put that long bolt that holds the fork of the trailer down from the top. If the nut loosens the bolt may not be as likely to come out.

Well my friend, you got a thumbs up and I subscribed and rang the bell. Now it has been 10 months since this video and I am signed up and waiting for the next review with a full load and some trail handling footage. Show us how well the Sherpa jumps through the hoops and how well it's holding up. I have a similar set up for my mountain bike with a Bob Ibex trailer and it is sweet. One wheel for the single track and follows along like a faithful dog. Waiting on that video. Take care...

thanks for the follow! i've used it plenty and works great. mainly on road with a little gravel. haven't made any videos of it in use though. i also have a bob trailer we've used to haul climbing gear to the crag with bicycles. the sherpax trailer has been changed to a 2.0 version now. i contacted kip moto and he's discontinued production of the original. boo. has it been 10 months? wow. i'll have to get out there soon then. check out my van build in the mean time. thanks for watching!

Thinking of getting one myself, thank you for the video. SherpaX web site says the are taking orders for the next month, when you ordered yours did they tell you it would take 8 months to get the trailer?

he didn't say it would take 8 months but, by watching joel's kip moto youtube videos, i sorta figured it would be at least six months. my suggestion would be to order it for the $50 down. because, when he gets to your order,he'll email and ask if you still want it. giving you an out if you change your mind. remember, communication is non existent. until he's ready to. thanks for watching!

Everthing nice , except for the connection point to the back tire, on the way vibration could press the trailer down from the bolts, i guess it supposed to have one or two pipe from up top to secure the weight, because what ever we put in the traile half the weight will be on the connection point , am i right?

never thought about that.... there would be weight "torquing" at the bolt. looks to me as though i'm at the mercy of the swing arm strength. on the other hand, the trailer weighs 30lbs (13kg) and camping gear would max at 60lbs (27kg) (what i carry in a backpack) i feel confident it would hold up without causing issue. i watched kip moto ride a motorcross track with it and hit jumps! thanks for watching!

You have fitted the shock absorber upside down and the pivot bolt should be the other way up with the nut on the bottom

I’ve got one that I use on my DR650 and T7 for moto-camping in the PNW. I literally take everything out of my panniers and put it in the Action Packer on the trailer, I really forget it’s behind me..

do they make them for road bikes ? ive got a roadking and i travel with my 90# 17 year old pitbull and space is at a premium. we managed but it'd be nice to take some more crap, like a bigger tent.

the trailer is the same for all. the only difference is the "hitch" that connects to your specific bike. contact kipmoto.com he is the manufacturer and see if he makes one. thanks for watching!

in west virginia, trailers don't need to be inspected. i haven't even attempted to have it licensed. to do that it needs a vin number. but before that, you have to have a state trooper look at it and verify that there is no vin. then apply for a title. i personally am not going to bother with it. but you do what you feel is right. thanks for watching!

maybe next year we can hook up. I’m coming up to Sandy Ville West Virginia to meet up with another rider. I got one coming out of New Jersey and I’m coming out of South Florida. We’re gonna run west next year all on the new 2024 KLR adventures, and we all intend to buy the same trailer. We’re going to go out and do a tour of Utah, Colorado, Wyoming and hit all the grand parks and stuff. Stay in touch brother.
