I think 10-2 at a 9-11 playoff seed is very possible. The schedule is very top heavy. 9 games are gimmes for this kind of program. Just need to take down 1 of OSU, Oregon, and Texas. Anything better just increases seeding. I think expectations as making at least quarterfinals is a fair assessment this year despite losing so much talent. This is the only team that has made the playoffs the last 3 years, its up to Moore to make it 4.

Even if he gets to a top 4 in the playoffs this season, will he keep his job? Michigan can have a middling year this season and still get the last laugh. This is a long way off but interesting.

Now with the West Coast schools in the conference it’s going to be an interesting task for him when it comes to winning. I think Moore will do great with the Harbaugh’s crop of players then form his own team.

Maybe they can repeat, but if they make the top 4 in the playoffs again this season, they will do something no other team has ever accomplished. Lose that much talent and reload with an average 15th recruiting rank. More likely they will be in the playoff conversation going into the OSU game. Unfortunately for Michigan, playing Texas in the non conference means they could be the 6th best team in the country and still have 3 losses. Lots to play out this year, but even if Michigan holds to the Vegas projections 9-3, that ain’t bad for a down year given the “reload” or whatever semantics you want to use. Considering where the program was 4 years ago, that isn’t bad. Gonna be a fun season to watch.
