I love Singapore. I wished that I can live and work there. But I feel it is so highly competitive and many smart people that it is just like HK. Besides the hot weather there. I love how clean and nice it is there. Singapore reminds me like 3 countries in one tiny island. While I was traveling solo there I attended the largest church there and was able to make some friends there. I met this girl that was going to church on a Sat afternoon I asked her if she knows where this church was located and directed me there. We worshipped and boy I can't believe how long the service is. It is 2 plus hours almost 3 hours long. The worship alone is 1 hour, the preaching is 1 hour. After that the girl introduced me to her friends at their fellowship. We had dinner and showed me some downtown areas. I felt like a dumb average person. They are so smart. They all worked in financial areas that is over my head. I am in IT but I tried to keep the conservation going. Their English is somewhat difficult to understand. They were speaking to one another and I asked what language they were speaking and they said English and I can't even hear it. Well I had to be more talkative to get over my shyness as I am very quiet. I am very shy to meet people so I have to force myself to talk to strangers. Each country I traveled to HK and Thailand I tried to make new friends. It is nice to travel solo as I don't need to wait for the other person vice versa.

For the tourist SIM card, the purpose of the foreign passport is to basically get some basic information registered as all prepaid sim cards in singapore need to be registered to a person (To prevent abuse and potential use case for terrorism). Singaporeans can also get tourist SIM which I did when I in between of 2 different telco and was missing out on fibre connection.

Depending on how old the child is, I believe there’s a child concession card (which allows them to travel for free) 😊 Otherwise, you can still use an EZ link card (the one I mentioned where you can load up the card and use it like any other metro card)

Great video, one thing which you didn't talk about was getting a car which is normally one of the first items on someone's list when moving to a new country. Any thoughts? Thanks!
@sherrybyw3 жыл бұрын
Good point :) I didn't list it mostly because I don't have a car and don't have any plans to buy one here, so I can't speak from experience haha. Owning and maintaining a car in Singapore is just astronomically expensive (relative to owning the same car in a different country for example). That's why I focussed more on public transport and car-hailing as an option!
