Huh. Usually interior malls become strip malls. Quiznos. I think we've got one left in HRM in Bayers Lake.

There’s also a Quiznos in Dartmouth crossing

@@cubie526 Oh yeah. I forgot about that one, I haven't been out there lately. I miss when they were in Scotia Square and Dresden Row.

The elevator appears to be a Dover Impulse -- which I'm pretty sure Dover Impulse was first introduced in 1984, maybe '83 (sorry I'm a bit of an "elevator-know-it-all" nut here.) So I'm guessing this "mall" was actually enclosed in the mid-late '80s. Also judging by the architectural style or aesthetics of this place, it kinda does scream mid 1980s to me.

Fixtures and equipment models make great time stamps! You are probably right that this was a mid-80s mall-ification
@NathanDavisVideos4 жыл бұрын
@@gravijiga But originally this started out as a stirp-mall back in the 1960s; before being converted into a full-blown mall in the '80s.

What is everything you know about Westend Mall halifax?

I always thought it looked like it used to be a mall

Yeah I like how they just kept the mall portion still intact even as more of an office building. I wish I could see other old defunct malls be converted into these.
