And it’s a completely original song. Maybe some of the music is similar but it in no way detracts from the song itself. Some of the music plagiarism claims can get out of hand - there’s outright copying and similarity. George didn’t copy , there may be some similarities to the music but I doubt anyone thinks of this song as thinks of a couple of chord progressions. I support artist integrity and work but some music is so simple that to copyright would reduce music production and creativity

Sheryl is a wonderful artist...what I'd give to talk to her about music and her influences in her work. She can blend country, rock, pop and other stuff in a unique way that always sounds great! To top it off she can cover a song like this. I will never foreget her and Willie Nelson singing together "Today I Started Loving You Again" in tribute to Merle Haggard live at the Kennedy Honors concert. Such a talented lady with pure class!
