a favorite composition! I will try it impressionist as soon as I can. I have many brands of Pastels to get used to all the colors and the way they behave. Is it natural to take time learning all the colors? Well, yours are in one box maybe? Mine are in 5. I do want to know if a beginner needs to just spend time learning the colors and how the look and blend with each other. I am using 400 sandpapers and I love it! I buy a lot, but if the painting is very bad I just rinse it off and dry it ;-)

Terrie, each artist chooses a pastel brand for himself, it can be one set, or maybe an assortment of several! I use fine-grained sandpaper with a grain size of 1000.

Anu! Thank you so much! You can try to draw on a canvas, but before drawing you need to apply 1 thin layer of underpainting gouache or watercolor. The base on which you will draw should not be white. I wish you an Inspiration!😊🎨
