I saw you fitting those huge beams together and how they just popped into place so perfectly, and I had to say "Bomba!" What a beautiful and amazing video of you working your many skills. Quietly, and calmly... no hint of bad temper or frustrations ever show up in your videos. You are immensely talented & I love your sense of humor when something does go wrong. How you are able to laugh at yourself. I thank you, Sheva for entertaining this 74 year old woman in America. You bring joy & happiness to my days, whenever you post. May God Bless you and your family, and keep you safe. 😊 ps: your work is very impressive!

For those who have never hand hewn a log, it is not as easy as he makes it seem. It takes a lot of experience to make it look this so easy. Also, kudos on the sawyer's jig for the roof shakes. I haven't seen one used in years. It may be a very simple tool, but it sure makes repetitive cuts a lot easier.

Here in the USA we have all kinds of wood working tools from many years ago. We have an ax that has an off set head and handle that was made specifically for hewing logs. You can do it with a straight ax but it was designed to off set the handle so you wouldn't hit your hands on the log. They must be kept razor sharp so they will cut straight and not tear the wood. Hewing logs is very hard work. Be very proud of what you have built. It will give you good service and last for many many years...

Hello Sheva, I am so happy to see this video. I am subscribed but for some reason you tube never shows me when you have a new video out so I am constantly having to find your home page and search. I really love your workmanship and the talent you have. I do have a question for you though. When doing the room you do use nails however how would you do it if no nails were available? Drill a hole and peg things together with a wooden peg? Praying you and your family have a great and blessed day. Hugs from a 67 year old woman from the state of Tennessee in the USA. I look forward to more videos from you soon.
