That was the entire point of the movie, was to show that there are people that have a different opinion based on facts that were researched. Why can’t we say our opinion because it hurts someone’s feelings? Yes brother, I am from the United States. I am an African-American who wants was a Sunni Muslim, until I studied and came to the realization that every part of their religion (especially the wahhabis/salafiyya, curse of Allah be upon them)is innovated, and worse, appears to have been done so in the first place only to challenge the strong attachment that the common Muslim had towards the holy prophets family, peace be upon him and upon his family. Everything from their belief in a corporal God, to their doctrine of chaos, i e that the religion of Islam is not supposed to make sense to us and that we are supposed to always go with the majority rule comment or their opinions. All of this was contrary to what Allah taught us, and so it is contrary to what the ahlul-bayt teach, since Allah's messenger, peace be upon him and his family, said that his family and the Quran were two weighty things that will not separate from each other until the day of judgment. In other words, if you are getting your Islam from anyone other than the Shia, it is my firm belief that you are upon misguidance for sure.

I am the Shia who Mohammed Hijab & Ali Dawah initially responded to. I have made a response to their video also (kzbin.info/www/bejne/qYe2dH6amLySadk). Overall this video was well done. There were plenty of good points being made, particularly around the aspect of being confident in our beliefs as Shia, and not being afraid of being vocal about them. However I also believe that we should not attribute the response of these two Salafi/Wahabi individuals who seek to profit of these types of video, as being the general viewpoints of Sunnis world wide. Irregardless, the truth must be spoken, and compromise on our narrative is not acceptable nor should it be an option even if it may hurt the feelings of others, but so long as it is done in an academic manner.

He said by God, it was not they who gave you this name, but God Himself who gave you this name in the Torah and in the Gospel through the tongue of prophet Moses and the tongue of prophet Jesus. 70 men among the people of Pharaoh rejected Pharaoh and joined the faith of prophet Moses, And for this reason God called them the rejectors (Rafidah). Thereupon prophet Moses received a revelation from God confirming this name to them in the Torah until it passed over the tongue of prophet Muhammad. God divided them into numerous groups and they multiplied into numerous nations, Rejecting the good, But you rejected the bad and remained steadfast with the people of the house (ahlulbayt) of your prophet. Whatever path you took, Your Prophet also took it and you chose whom God and His Messenger chose. Therefore, I proclaim to you the good news and again i proclaim to you the good news, Because the mercy of God encompasses you.The accepted one is the good among them, And the recipient of forgiveness is the one who is guilty among them, And whoever does not meet God with the one you have met, He does not accept his good deeds from him, Nor does He forgive him his wrongdoings. O Sulaiman, Shall I entrust something to you? I said Increase my knowledge, May my life be sacrificed to you! He said the angels ask the forgiveness of God for you until you are purified from sin, Just as the leaf of a tree is torn away on a windy day, And that is the Word of God “Those who bear the throne and those who stand around it glorify the praise of their Lord and believe in Him. They ask forgiveness for those who believe our Lord! You embrace all things in Your mercy and knowledge. So forgive those who have been converted and have followed Your path, And protect them from the chastisement of Hell. Our Lord! let them enter the Gardens of Eden, Which You have promised them, As well as the righteous from their fathers, Their wives, And their offspring you are the Mighty, The Wise. And protect them from wrongdoing. On that day, Whom You save from wrongdoing, You have had mercy on them, And that is the great success." (quran 40:7-9) These are our followers and by God, It is for you. O Sulaiman, Shall I entrust something to you? I said may my life be sacrificed to you, increase my knowledge! He said no one follows the confession of prophet Abraham except us and our followers and the rest of mankind has nothing to do with it.” [Bihar Al-Anwar Al Muqadas Volume 65 Page 97 - 98 Hadith 4]

Abubakr, umer and uthman were political figures and anyone has the right to accept them or not. They were not selected by Allah and this both Shia Sunni believe. The problem is that historically Sunnis have been slaughtering minorities and silencing them and they are used to this kind of behavior. You have to align your faith with Sunni faith in order to live. In countries like Pakistan or saudi arabia, shia remain silent as they know what will happen if they openly show their beliefs.

(3:33) and the reading of the people of the house is …and the family of Muhammad before the worlds…" [At-Tibyan Volume 2 Pages 440-441] “In the name of the merciful and compassionate God, they ask you about the spoils.” (8:1) and the reading of the people of the house is “They beg you for the spoils.” [At-Tibyan Volume 5 Pages 71-72] “The verse reads “O Prophet, strive against the unbelievers and hypocrites.” (9:73) and in the reading of the people of the house it says “Make an effort with the hypocrites against the unbelievers.” [At-Tibyan Volume 5 Pages 259-260] “The verse is “And the three, you left behind ” (9:118) and the reading of the people of the house is “… who resisted.” They said “For if they had been left behind, the blame would not fall on them.” [At-Tibyan Volume 5 Pages 315 - 316] “The verse reads “…that keep him from the commandment of God.” (13:11) and the reading of the people of the house is “…by the command of God…” [At-Tibyan Volume 6 Page 228] The current quran was written down by uthman and umar Abd-ur-Rahman Ibn Abi Hashim reported that Salim Abu Salamah said “Someone was reading with Abu Abdillah Imam Sadiq while i was hearing wordings from the Qur’an that people do not read like this. Then Abu Abdillah said do not read in this way. Read as the people read until the Rising one (Qa’im) rises. When the Rising one rises, he reads the scripture of God according to its limits and brings forth the codex (Mushaf) that Ali wrote down.” [Al-Wasa’il of Al-Amili Volume 6 Page 163 Hadith 1] Sulaim Ibn Qais reported that Talhah Ibn Ubaidillah said “Tell me about what Umar and Uthman wrote down. Is all of it a Qur’an or is there something in it that is not a Qur’an? Imam Ali said yes, all of it is a Qur’an. If you obey what is in it, you will be saved from the fire and enter paradise, for in it is our proof and the explanation of our matter and our right and duty of obedience to us. Talhah said It is sufficient for me, because if it is a Qur’an, then it is sufficient for me.” [Kitab Sulaim page 212]

When I shall meet the Prophet (S) I will complain about you two.” - Al-Imamah wa al-Siyasah, by Ibn Qutaybah, v1, p14 11. “Fatima became angry with Abu Bakr and kept away from him, and did not talk to him till she died. She remained alive for 6 months after the death of the Prophet. When she died, her husband, buried her at night without informing Abu Bakr and he said the funeral prayer by himself.” - Sahih al-Bukhari, Chapter of “The battle of Khaibar”, Arabic-English, v5, tradition #546, pp 381-383, also v4, Tradition #325 12. The problem with Ali Dawah’s argument is that Muslims simply cannot make a film attacking the 12 Imams of AhlulBayt (AS) because 1.) they were infallible and did not commit any sins which you can attack them for and 2.) all Muslims, irrespective of whether you are a Sunni or Shia or belong to any other sect of Islam, must honor and respect all 12 Imams (or at least the first 11 Imams since Sunnis don’t believe the Mahdi was born yet) because they are part of the AhlulBayt (AS), being the direct (infallible) descendants of Prophet Muhammad (SAWW).

we actually do, and it's not something that we made up out of nowhere....we have our resources that states that abu baker and omer aren't that innocent....they went against the prophet orders and it's actually in front of everyone's eyes it's not like you have to study Islam or anything it's basically right in front of you....only people who were tricked by the shaytan and had their eyes to be blinded so they follow up with the lie that abu baker is the caliph and omer was the second and so with that lie. we don't praise them for a reason. The awful things that they did aren't only mentioned in our books....actually it was stated in some of your most famous books..but some of sunnies scholars don't talk about it and well that's why most sunnies don't have an idea....and when a shia breaks it down to them and give them the sources from their books they deny it..most of them don't have enough knowledge and others refuse to accept the truth so denying it and not looking into history is the easiest thing to do for them.

My view is that the feud between these two groups of Islam will never resolve their issues until both groups put the past behind them, and let Allah be the judge between whatever happened on the day of judgment. This is clearly a test to see who calls for unity amongst Muslims and who encourages hatred. We must remember that the Quraysh who fought and persecuted the prophet Mohmmad (PBUH), many of which were closely related to him and his early followers, eventually became Muslims and were accepted and forgiven by the Prophet and by the Muslim community. Even after all the brutal battles and skirmishes. We must also remember that the tribes of Khazaraj & Aws also had their differences until the Prophet fostered the pact of Aqaba , which resulted in a peace treaty between these warring factions. These are all lessons that the Muslims should adopt and implement. I believe that no one should speak ill of any of our predecessors, regardless of what mistakes they may have committed. This is why there is a day of judgment. But to speak ill of any of our pioneers, is to dismiss any and all their efforts and the contributions they have made toward islam..? I think that’s unacceptable .. It is very clear that their is an agenda to keep Muslims divided and millions of dollars are being spent by the “ elite “ of both groups to propagate disunity. We shouldn’t fall for these theatrics and remember without unity, we will never see peace. May Allah Guide us all.

The point you failed to understand is that you think we consider you part of Islam also putting the past behind us is just another way of saying don't search for the truth since religion is taken from hadiths we can have unity in humanity but not in religion we clearly have different beliefs Tafsir Al-Qummi Al Muqadas Volume 1 Page 108 Abu Jarood narrates from Abu Jafar Imam Baqir (peace be upon him) concerning “and be not disunited” (3:103) Imam (peace be upon him) replied “Surely Allah, Blessed and High be He, Knew that they (people) shall soon be divided after (the demise of) their Prophet (peace be upon him and his progeny) and shall differ. So He prohibited them from (such) division like he had forbidden the ones before them and he commanded them that they should come together (be united) upon the Mastership (Wilayat) of the progeny of Muhammad (peace be upon them) and not be disunited.”

Quran: (3:103) Hold fast together to the cable of Allah and be not divided. Remember the blessing that Allah bestowed upon you: you were once enemies then He brought your hearts together, so that through His blessing you became brothers. In the Quran, a book that both Shia and Sunnah agree upon , are lessons we should all learn and implement. I dream of the day the Ummah is united. Even with its differences. And I dream to see the day when we see that our similarities outweigh our differences.

I attain my knowledge from as many scholars as I can and formulate my own opinion while using the Quran as an anchor for sound judgement. Therefore, I respect all scholars who have dedicated their lives towards the explanation of our tradition. What I try not to do is, denigrate or unfairly criticise any academic work, the scholars and the companions who contributed towards spreading and explaining the tradition. It is expected to find discrepancies within the tradition and not every scholar agrees with the other. However, I do not throw blanket statements on any scholar, unless I am convinced that they are unqualified in that specific field or if they are just spreading misinformation. This helps me approach the subject with a clear and unbiased view. I haven’t read any Hadiths by Shia scholars, however I am certain that we will be able to find a commonality that can foster an understanding between both groups. If feel this is what is required to establish a common ground. And Allah knows best.
